did somebody mention 210bhp in the early 90's????

i'll agree it should have been fitted with big bumpers at least from the factory, but whoever decided to base it on a 5 door should have been sacked!!

Lets face it, none of us would REALLY buy one anyways, we're to busy spending stupid amounts on our own to even care about the Ltd's! ;)

P.s Our cars are always better than those anyway! [:D]

SEs are the Rallyes that were officially imported to the UK by Volkswagen.

Just as a note, you can buy 5dr R32s. Should the people that buy these be informed that they have made a bad choice?

OK, I agree that the Limited should have been a three door and big bumpered with just the blue grille and badges to differenciate. But, they were built to be sold to senior VW management, and no doubt they wouldn't have wanted their close friends and family (they probably had kids) to have to keep clambering in and out the back. I'm sure it wasn't VW motorsport's choice to go 5 door, but more a push from the management as they were gonna have to live with them.

    I'd still have one.

There is one that was converted to right hand drive knocking around somewhere. Someone will know how it was done...

Remove the AC pump and put the alternator there.

That RHD limited didn't run a brake servo - Just a master cylinder popping out the bulk head. Saw it at Edition 38 show 2 years ago.

Interesting. Wonder if a servo was put behind the bulkhead somehow, if that's possible.

I actually bidded for this engine.

I was winning for about 10seconds in the last few minutes and then it suddenly went upto 2500 [xx(]

Which unfortunately was quite a bit above my budget [:^(]

Would have been a sexy motor!

Just had a look at this vid and that sounds lurvely! :)

I like the whole wolf in sheeps clothing look. Only true Veedubbers would know what it was from discreet touches that were put on the car.

9K is alot of money for a 15yr old golf as people say, but they're worth what people are willing to pay for one.

And I bought an e36 evo.

edit: Would love an e30 track weapon when I get rid of the golf as a second car though. Still got a lot of respect for the real thing.
