I'm off to Woolies or Game tomorrow as well to pick my copy up. It's got to be worth a shot for only 17.99.

Plus you can play the online part with the prologue game. If i don't get on with it, i know i should get rid of the PS3 as Gran Turismo was one of the only reasons i got a PS3 over a 360.

Let us know if its worth buying then guys - I think its just a cut down version of the full game which is being released to make a few quid, which is why I dont really want to pay up for it!

But if its superb I may be forced to!!! Keep us posted.

DON'T BUY IT if you're expecting 'proper racing'....

Played it for 3 hrs last night with a mate... Basically, same old GT, the computer cars are either too slow (going through 15 AI cars in one lap happens on a few races), then other races the fatsest AI car is way ahead and hard to catch... very annoying...

If you're a big GT fan and you're used to 'hot laps' ie GOLD licenses, then this will be as dissappointing as GT4 prologue was on the PS2...

We got through 25 of the 30 main license races in less than 3 hours.....it's pants...for the die hard GT fan... (there are other races ie events for each manufacturer but these are basically the same races as the license events...)...

HOWEVER, if you are new to GT (Gran Turismo) then you will love it, but get bored after 6 months...

Positives - it's smooth, great graphics, LONDON race track available now..

But stiil has a few 'wobbles' even on 1 player on HD..

Probably worth 20 to go online - has to be said, but 1 player, forget it if you're really good...

I'm sticking to Nurburgring on PS2's GT4 on road tyres.... see challenge!!!

    Hope this helps....

    Highlander (GT freak)....

Forgot to mention - NO motorbikes in Prologue and there ARE Ferarris...including the F1 2007 Ferrari....

And yep - '07 Skyline is King (but u have to get the braking right, get it wrong and she's gone big time)....it'll leave a F430 (and everything else) for dead....

    :)

Cheers for all that highlandor, as you know I am a die hard GT fan and was considering going out this w/e and blowing 300quid on a ps3 and game defently think il just stick to my ps2 going round and round nurburgring its great practice!

Highlandor - is the ring in it? And what's it like online? 16 players as promised?

No worries - glad to be of help....

There are ONLY 6 TRACKS (Noooooooooo........) and the 'Ring isn't one of them.

    Super Speedway
    Fuji
    Suzuka
    London
    High Speed ring
    Nordland

Unable to play online as my mate had to download something for it before playing (WE WERE P****D AT THAT!).. U cant just buyit and go online!!!!!!!!!

But I imagine it'll be carnage to be honest!!!!

Forgot to mention.... there's no big battle (5/6 cars) at the front..., all the action on 1 player happens at back and in middle throughout the race, so if u want action, u cant win, as there's only 2 cars (max) out front from the strart... it's well annoying...

AFter 1 lap, most of the pack are 1/5th lap behind already...

But, like I say, it's smooth, quick and a bit of a buzz, but NOTHING like a few hot laps around the 'ring, with no TCS on a road car on road tyes!!!!!

NOS induced powerslides in a skyline at the ring will keep me going for a few more months.....

    Regards
    Highlandor

Hang on! I've been playing it for about half an hour now. Looks great but it's very easy. Am I right in thinking you can't tune your motor on Prolog? FFS That's the best part of GT games!

I've just got mine to update for the online part. Had a quick go (not online), but the serious racing will have to wait for the gf to go to bed! She isn't that impressed with the ironing board being used as a platform for the force pro steering wheel

I can see a late night ahead [:$]
