Higgim I`ll see what I can get, my braded hoses have a bit of surface rust but that`s nothing compared to the injectors [xx(]

I used some long pliers with a 45 degree end to get the injectors out/in worked a treat, I`ll post a pick of them up tomorrow if I get chance. I doubt I`d of got them out otherwise, and they only cost 10 for a set of 3 :p

Sold as separate from the hoses, Keith is talking about the pliers, not the injectors.....

GSF have them as 19 for "most models", and their VW ones are "from 22". Id buy them even if they were the same price, just to have them brass rather than steel...

Cheers, a ton for 4 doesn`t seem too bad, plus it might give it a bit more go!

Got a set off a mk2 8v k-jet (same as the 16v) lines may be different though, 24 to the door off ebay! I wouldn`t of thought any injectors could be as bad as my old ones and still in one piece! Worth a shot..

Yeah, be careful as the threads are different on some of them. The ones that came on my 9A have a different thread to the normal KR ones so don't fit.

Looked on etka, same part number for the 8 and 16v injector so in theory they should be ok..

Will take a pic of the old ones, the actual inside may be fine but the outsides are definitely f**ked!

Mk3's use electronic injectors rather than mechanical. They do sometimes suffer from cracked o-rings, but far less often. Sounds more like a vacuum leak somewhere.

In short no, she had an mot due and it failed on emissions, so i put 2
and 2 together and assumed it was that causing the stalling.

She needed the car sorted asap so she took it to a vw specialist
[grrrrrr] and he changed the lambda sensor and said he repaired a
few vacuum leaks, we got a mot ticket after £400 worth [2 new
195/40s that weren't needed !!!!!!] and that was that. he supposedly
fixed the stalling. but nope it still does it. i'd rather not take it back
because like normal garages [99% are sh1te i hate them] he will
charge an arm and a leg for a crap job again.

    how much will that cost?

thing is here is a list of whats knackered on
    the car :(

    -MFA - does nothing?
-Rear Heated screen keeps blowing a fuse, works for a few days
    then blows.
-Windows open randomly when getting out of the car or even when
not at the car on rare occasions...
-Drivers side door doesn't unlock everytime and there is a buzzing
noise from what i assume is a pnuematic pump for the locking?
-It stalls at low rpm and reversing etc
-Rear drivers window doesn't go down [eletric]
    -Seems to like the juice....

    I have:
    -Oil/Filter/Flush
    -Redex and Injector cleaner
    -Lambda sensor [by "specialist"]
-Cleaned: Tb, ICV,AFM and various piping
-Fitted a Green Cotton panel filter and drilled the airbox the other
side of the filter [from the afm] as you would do.

Temp sensor i have yet to do....

I jsut want it 100% really.... i can 2 cars to manage now :( dare i say
its worse than my peugeot :(

It currently sitting outside backboxless waiting for pipers finest 3"
    outrolled jobbie :)

If you take it to the main stealers and get them to put it on their machine to read the codes you may save money in the long term, does she have an imibiliser on it (can cause strange faults). I took the g/friends to VAG and was pleasantly surprised when they fixed it quite cheaply!

Yes it has some pony alarm that goes off every 2 minutes, i think
some monkey has fitted that wrong. my other vw mates agree. one
is building a mint g60 mk1, i will get pics once he does it, he is a
perfectionist so no doubt it will be perfect. he has done some bits for
    me and they've been amazing....

First thing is to find the fuel pump cut and repair it, that`s what happened to the g/f`s, imob relay failing under load. It could be something else but you need to get it back to std on the wiring front first before you try and track other faults down.
