A few vids from shakedown session Not fast as it was soaking wet, but damn good fun Turn up speakers to play - atmo power! http://s50.photobucket.com/user/hop...1 Curborough/2013-11-11Curborough004.mp4.html http://s50.photobucket.com/user/hop...1 Curborough/2013-11-11Curborough013.mp4.html http://s50.photobucket.com/user/hop...1 Curborough/2013-11-11Curborough016.mp4.html
Having a good sprint year again this year with two personal bests so far, and another very much on the cards had it not tipped it down! (And wet setup was well and truly tested leading to being 5 secs clear if the rest, but of course still slower than a dry time). Two events still to go. But with great sadness, I will be putting the car up for sale as soon as the season is over. Time to move on to something very exciting to be revealed as and when. I don't have room for two race cars so one will have to go. So if you want to get hold of a highly competitive msa sprint/hillclimb car for modprod 1400-2000, this will vault you straight to the front of the pack. Previous Championship winner, regularly fastest saloon at sprints, 10 years of development giving it all the right bits! This is not a wannabe racer, it has the results to prove its capabilities. More details soon. Ave it Rob
Good luck for the rest of the season Rob, going out ... at the top Looking forward to the `reveal` Is / can the car be road legal ? Thank you Andrew
Hiya, thanks. Next project is a proper game changer...for the next 10 years so plenty of performance headroom. It's not presently road legal as I took the front lights out for brake ducts. But I still have the lights and wiring loom. And the front splitter and side skirts are a bit low these days. But it was road legal till I did this. The suspension is lovely and supple so it would be fine on the road. Bit loud though....I wouldn't want to go touring in it
Rob, Look forward to hearing more about your next project. I am sure it will be class leading monster with many unique tricks and tweaks to stay ahead of the competition. I also hope the 'biza goes to a good home. I have a lot of respect for the work that went into developing that car. One of the ultimate 16v engines around.
Cheers Ed. It does need to go to a good home as it is now properly fast and competitive. And a joy to drive. If I had more space I would keep it but also its not fair/a waste to have such a lot of nice bits sat idle. They need using. The new project will take time to sort out for sprinting, but its gonna be a whole lot of fun - your gonna like it! Roar, bang bang.
Sounds like you are having a cracking season so far, good luck for the rest of it. Always interested in following new projects
