It's not a VAG group car.

    That is true...

    There can be exceptions though!

Might go to Anglesey for a sprint weekend, but need to get car sorted before then, new foam seat insert, sort pedals out, air jacks refitted, get a system for air jack operation at the track (thinking scuba tank....), get a small portable genny for engine preheaters, move preheaters hoses for connection without removing rear clamshell, sort trailer ramps for lower car, get a transport cover for car. And probably more.

It's unlikely all this will be done, but you never know!

If there's loads still to do, might pop along instead.

Nice motor Rob, this is the ex-works one isn't it. Bet that sounds tidy.

Shame we never met on the track other than at the ClubGTI day at Curby, would have been fun.

Cheers - it is an ex-works one yes. All options fitted. Sounds stunning - cossie DFV F1-like (1973 spec was 450hp@10.5K...same as this)

Yes would have been good sport to go head-to-head, and a shame we didnt manage it - it would have come down to track knowledge I suspect as this counts for such a lot unless you have something that is proper fast.

You doing your local champs or moving on to nationals, I'm assuming your sprinting or hill climbing not circuit racing?

Yeah, I'd have been pretty confident at Llandow, but very nervous at Aintree :)

Going to learn the car (to a degree) at my leisure and then do British Sprint Champs plus Aintree events. Doubt it will be seeing the hills.
