My car at Imola driven by Radical factory driver Greg Hart http://www.msvracing.co.uk/msvrtv-popup.aspx?videoId=2452
10500 RPM , 160 MPH somebody has just bought a car of a different league lol Rob have fun but be CAREFUL
I will. No plans to drive it like that just yet. Checking car over with fine tooth comb presently, found a cracked seat mount yesterday....nothing else yet so car looks in good health so far. Engine warranty says max 2secs per minute to 12k rpm....12k is hard cut, soft cut at 11k. Car now has shorter Sprint gearing fitted (one if three options provided with cars spares package) so max is now 155mph, but gets there quicker
It would be interesting to know if the car had any issues or accidents if you could ask? It has a new front nearside wishbone and maybe a new chassis panel in that area but its all been repaired exceptionally well so its hard to see.
Hi I've just spoken to John Hart (Dad) all he said yes it had the odd bump and scrape but nothing major as this was all looked after and repaired by radical as soon as they got it back after the event. The only problems the had was it used to eat alternators so might be worth carrying a spare.
Thanks - and thats very interesting about the alternator since the alternator/charging circuit had its in-line fuse blown -found during inspections. According to previous owner, there was no apparent charging problem but fuses dont blow of their own accord....I think the old one was less than the 60A that Radical recommend (too thin) so have replaced with a pukka 60A and we will see how we go. There is an alternator upgrade also, so that fits in with this story, to a McLaren/TAG item but its a 1K upgrade part.....and supposedly only needed for endurance events where there is obviously a high electrical draw for the big headlights. Regular alternator is a std race item so can be obtained from various outlets without the 'Radical Tax'.
ibiza just sold on ebay for 8100. its already had wide rear arches fitted though so i dont knowhow that will work out as the ebay pics dont show them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ex-Seat-U...Gr68YbzFgzHaiskLUjGUw%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc The voices just told me who the buyer is....no doubt it will all become apparent soon
it is a bit on the odd side it has to be said. some fella called ross/russ or something picked it up this afternoon to take to chris's bat cave in bicester. i do hope your going to bring it out racing chris..... so you have ian carvell's old mk1. now my old ibiza. is this some kind of specialist collection your building? cars from people you dont like very much?
You're joking He's going to break it and on it in a video you big fat TROLL ROB Cars don't talk back and do as there told most of the time
Does he have a big enough garage ? lol I take it as a massive compliment Rob ! Rather than attempt to make the MK1 as quick as this Ibiza, it was easier for CE to actually buy your entire car !
If he hadn't been such a pain in the @$$ in the first place he could have bought it off of Rob instead of having too sneak about too get it if it was me i wouldn't be bothered in the slightest In fact i'd be laughing my socks off
