Whilst I dont think his car 'deserved' a feature, I do agree that its his car and he can do what the f**k he wants to it, why should he listen to anyone else? Its HIS car, not yours...

If he likes it like that, then he should stick to it. Christ, if I did what the 'majority' of people have been telling me to do for the last few years, my car wouldnt be blue / black. But I like it like that, so its staying like that.

(but not for much longer) ;)

Yeah he can do what he likes with it - just dont put crap like that in the mags.

Keep it for the 'cruise' websites and max power and the likes :)

I can't believe whats been written.

I really can't believe people are saying they want everyones car to look the same? What a boring "scene" this would become if all our mk2 Golfs looked identical.

If people don't like the content of a magazine, why don't they contact the editor, and tell them about it. Why is is it's someones fault if their car gets featured??? If the Golf+ falls by the way, and we are only left with VWM and Performance VW, the scene will be the worse for it.

    Cheers

that car is pretty poor imo, it's all stick on stuff.

    bumpers are stick on.
lights are all stick on stuff.
got colour coding done whilst the bumpers are being sprayed.
buy a ice package from halfords and get them to fit it.
induction kit is a stick on.
    exhaust is a stick on.
    wheels are a stick on.
suspension is a stick on, look at the ride angle its RUBBISH its
all over the place. obviously went into halfords and said "i want
    it well lower mate".

dont get me wrong i like street racer look, and some jap style.
but i hate someone who pretends to be a enthusiast rather than
the halfords stick on tat cheque book boy that he is trying so
hard to be better than his nova boy mates because its german
    "mate".

its been done so much better before. anyone remember the
yellow/silver mk2 that was in the golf? that was better.

I agree with Andy on this one.

I don't really like the car, but I can understand that everyone has different tastes.

If my car ever made a mag (which it wouldn't as it's not good enough) I would expect people to sl*g it off as everyone has different tastes ;)

I remember when I came on here and the PVW forum/chat room after getting the GTD, and people sl*gged it off because its a diesel, has 5 doors and a tow bar.

Ok, I was asking how to get a little more power out of it, but most peoples attutude was its a diesel why bother, some of the people sl*gging it off own 1.6 Golf "Drivers" which have less power and torque than mine and how many people ask how to get more power out of them?

People say they don't like it as its a MK2 diesel, so what? I'm happy with the way its shaping up.

Same with this car, yes its a 1.4 MK3, its performace is never gonna set the world on fire, and the mods fitted are't to most peoples tastes but who cares as long as the owners happy?

Loads of people have sl*gged off Richgit's car because the colour scheme isnt to every ones taste but so what? He's done a lot of things to that car to turn it from a driver on three spokes to a quite impressive black/blue 1.8T.

I think the scene needs to freshen up a bit, theres a lot of people who seem to think that a Golf should be built up to a certain (sp) spec such as the euro look (smoothed body work, small bumpers, little wheels, BBs's, split rims or deep dish alloys) ect.

What about the 2 red 1.3's MK2s that have had features while back, one was a smoothed bodywork, big bumpers, GTi interior, Rallye front end, that started off as a lowly Golf "C" not even a CL or driver spec, the other was a motorsport themed Golf, if the owners came on here would they also get sl*gged off?
