each one to their own, although i'd prefer Golf+ to not end up looking like another Max Power type mag

I thought i recognised the car..it belongs to "mk3 Man"...who is a sound guy...spoke to him about his golf before on the forum!!!

Think you guys are being so unfair...for starters it doesn;t matter if his car is a 1.4 in my opinion...who cars...the magazine is called "golf +" not golf gti+!!!

heres a link to his thread...and he;s taken the pics off...so guessing he's a bit p***** of by the harshness...as i would be!!!

I drive a diesel MK3 aswell...anything wrong with that guys??? I've been told by a fair few that my car is nice, so if it were to get into the mag (which i think it can if this golf got in) would i be ridiculed??

    Thants my 2p

    don't hate me! ;)

My "beef" isn't that it's not a GTI - that doesn't bother me in the slightest - or that it's not a remotely imaginative or unusual car in any way. That's fine too actually, mine's the same! What I do object to is paying nearly four quid for a magazine that is supposed to represent the best of all things VW (and SEAT but that's a whole other rant [:x] ) yet features a car no better than any other I can see down the local Halfords or MacDonalds, when there are plenty of others more deserving of coverage.

I have no problem with the car, or the owner, or anyone who disagrees with me, just with the editorial policy of the magazine. And that's why I've cancelled my subscription.

    what makes it rubbish!
i don't know ANY students who've got spare cash to spend
    on the cars?
Students im aware of ,usually scrimp on the car servicing just so they can survive.
The fact that hes acheived something to it, however sh1te it maybe, is saying something about his commitment.
Nobodys saying what he's done cost a bomb, im quite aware it didnt. This all assumes of course, that he doesnt earn loads from a job or has generous parents.
I thought you of all people, would be the first to substantiate what you say....thats if you can?!!!lol

As a wee side note, doing an aprenticeship is not like being a student, you get paid during an aprenticeship ;)
