Don't remember any of the Novas at Donny being particually quick earlier in the year tho? Supprised me really as a breathed on 2.016v fully stripped Nova has a cracking power to weight ratio & I remember even my little 1.3SR or over 10 yrs ago being a great little wagon.

Mmmm, subtle, light car with 1600 16v and tbs :p

    I do have one distinct problem though;

    'G40 as a daily driver'

Surely it should be the other way round!

Pics of the G please :)

We're talking about a boxy maroon hatchback with mismatched steel
wheels (7x15 on the front, 6x14 on the back), mismatched seats (Corrado
fronts, mk1 Golf rear), a glass sunroof and jacked up rear suspension.
You honestly think that looks good? [:s]

why all the yes/no type opinions,i know theyre expected but no need to keep repeating the fact that YOU think the car in question is shit?

it gets boring, its been said way too many times in this thread.

i appreciate any! car thats clean and mint,i used to polish my escort van every couple of days ffs!

anyway, nova looks very clean and straight, obviously owned by a true enthusiast.

LOL well maybe not that specific one, but a well sorted mk1 is a million times better looking than any Nova.

^^^ you have got a point + i doubt a novacould ever match the mighty stature and high regard of the mk3 golf! <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><O:p></O:p>

At the end of the day opinions are like ar$eholes... everyones got one its just that some people act likeonewhen putting them across <?:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /></V:STROKE></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:F></V:ULAS></V:pATH><O:LOCK aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></O:LOCK></V:SHAPE></V:IMAGE></V:SHAPE><O:p></O:p>

The nova provided a good cheap base to improve on and with their rallying and single series heritage a lot of motor sport parts are available which can make them a dam good track weapon. Further more I have met some good friends whilst building and showing it, and find surprisingly a lot of people appreciate it probably because there were so many$hiters back in their hay day (I think you will find saxo's, corsa's and dare I say golfs are becoming the popular halfrauds specials now due to affordability, and the fact that they are better built cars as standard)

Here is one of my favourite nova projects at the moment that should keep you 20v turbo boys on your toes down the drag strip [IMG]

This is what I've noticed. The Novas that are still around increasingly tend
to be either housewives' shopping cars or really well looked after, subtly
tuned examples. The boy racers are driving Saxos, 106s and Corsas
because they're cheap, you can get them on finance and you can get free
    insurance.
