Lol, all parts were blasted and I used extra light paint ;)

Weight saved from the flywheel and my wallet for the diff I think it must be lighter anyway!

Tidy as ever, Scott! It'll be a real challenge for me to try and achieve a similar standard on the Mk1 Scirocco. On the Mk2 Rocco Track Car I don't worry too much about the cosmetics.

Cheers Mike, I drive myself crazy with the detail, I have a very understanding girlfriend ! Your mk1 Rocco is a very worthy project for some love!

Forgot I did my splitter yesterday, spent an age on the DA! These were battered when I salvaged them years ago! I managed to get most of the damage out if them, adhersion promoter used then satin black, still a bit smooth and glossy so I think a couple of drop coats of matt black will be needed before they get fitted :)

Cheers, got a good deal on a Quaife from TSR and a set of ARP bolts.

Should help round tight tracks like curby where I'm spending too much time spinning up my inside wheel :)

Lol, my rebuilt gearbox came back painted, I was not happy as I know the paint will only chip and flak off in a year or two, so I did what you have done and cleaned it off back to bare Ali, it stays better that way and IMO looks better over time than a flaky, stained box. so mine stays unpainted.

Plan at the min is to paint it black and replace the external bolts, if it ends up looking s**t it's my own fault! Lol

I'm using the same type of paint I used to do it silver last time so it should last ok :)

Well I was only going to tidy the garage but decided to fit the box, was doing it on my own so I was lucky and it went on first time without a fight :)
