5:20pm, driving home in rush hour traffic minding our own business. Turning right at traffic lighted T junction.

Queue of traffic onto the main road we were joining, so started to slow down. Lights just turned to amber. Heard the Harley behind us put the hammer down, and then it appeared like he tried to go around us and the line of traffic, but misjudged how wide his 2008 Harley Fat Boy was.

Hit the rear quarter with his pedals/side of motorbike, ripped through the rear bumper and arch liner, dented my new TD Pro Race 1.2, ripped a tear in the tyre and it looks like he also bent the rear axle.

    So ****ed off. [:^(]

We are ok, and so is the biker. But the car has now been recovered to a storage yard, awaiting insurance/renault assistance in the morning.

I have 2 parts of his Harley as evidence and a stack of photos and the Harley drivers details and a workman witness.

We had just turned right onto this road from those traffic lights.

You can see from this that the wheel looks pushed in.

Its hard to tell. It looks like its been bent. It was a big Harley. The bumper and wheel took all the impact.

Tyres are oem. Got receipt for wheels. Its mildly dented the outer rim of the wheel. :(

I'm so ****ed off that this is going to force our insurance up again too, when this is not our fault. Only 17 months since the last person crashed into our old silver Ibiza.

Yes, 100% will be claimed from his insurers, but you still have to declare a claim, even non fault. And it still puts a premium percentage on your insurance come renewal.

He wasnt wearing any. He didnt look like your typical Harley hells angel to be honest. More a mid life crisis born again biker type. In picture 4 you can see his shoes, he was wearing jeans too.

99% of them are. There a "lifestyle" bike i.e. looks only. Bloody awful things and very heavy to boot hence the damage to the car. Did you not have a quick look underneath when it was on the back of the truck?
