The Jimny was better for illegally towing a speedboat twice it's weight as I remember, but he could out-drive a JCB in muddy fields with a Landy and used to tow them out.
In what seemed to be a mobile home, complete with fake wood cladding. Despite being considerably more richer than yeeeeeaaaaooooow.
If sutherlandm were reading this he's just laugh it all off safe in the knowledge that his PR company was making richer by the second with blue chip clients such as The Pakistan Cricket Team, Wayne Rooney and London Underground
Engineers report today is as follows: Replace rear bumper Replace rear arch liner Replace rear o/s suspension components Replace rear o/s hub assembly Refurbish Team Dynamics Alloy Replace rear o/s tyre Respray bumper and blend rear 1/4 panels Replace Gordini badges on rear 1/4 Looks like the wheel took the full impact of the shunt.
Progress, progress. Do they actually need to blend the rear 3/4 panel? How about a new wheel? - refurbing wheels isn't surely a good plan unless TD do it?
I would push for a new alloy wheel myself. If it got hit hard enough to bend the axle stub I would be a little concerned about the rim getting stressed in any way. Different on a little 1.2 shopping car but on a potentially very fast car being used on the odd ring trip, better safe than sorry IMO.
If im unhappy with anything, it goes back. Did stress i didnt want the car anywhere near the bodyshop, but they said they wouldnt fix any issues if i was unhappy with the paint match and they had suggested a blend. Oh well, time will tell.
Dellboy mode on: I'll give you 4000 for it. Look, its had a bump right there! Dellboy mode off: I wouldn't want the rear 1/4s blended. Gurds
Yep, IMO tell em to f*ck off. It's a new car, this is a big bucks game and you want it done as it should be. New wheel, and paint it properly.
It'll just go back to the dealer in 3 years. Its a throw away car. Just want it back, fixed, and done well. Anything obviously wrong, it goes back till it gets put right. Just like our Ibiza when the dozy bint pulled out into our rear 1/4 panel. Dont worry guys, i will be fine toothed combing it. The bodyshop is not an insurance "approved" place (which usually means, we use you because you are cheap), its the official Renault Accident recommended body shop for the whole area. They also prep show cars and spray Lambos etc.
remember to take pictures of the whole repair area, alla Detailing a Astra thread ! good luck with the repair, I'll have to chase up the second half of my accendent repair!
Deako yesterday, hunting down a motorcycle owner : Although typical French attire, lot's of white ^^, the Jack Russell's right on the case, with the bike owner having scarpered for cover in the Curborough lower paddock. Anyway, I heard the biker duly had freshly cut onions rubbed into his eyes
Car was meant to be finished for today. However, car is still stripped and on the ramp awaiting parts. The expected date is now the 29th.
