I've never understood why people get so excited about these factory specials. I thought we all just modified our cars ourselves instead?

did anyone get any videos of the Focus RS at Goodwood?

the vehicle on show there had all the gubbins removed from the exhaust so sounded mental!

I didn't see it run unfortuntately as we got there about 10AM and the 2nd supercar parade occurred while we were watching the rally stage

A totally standard Mk1 RS glided past me in Traffic yesterday, and I have to say I like the older Focus much more than the new one.

Any car that can do this must be a bit cool.

The new one actually looks like the old one went on a diet. The facelift of the new shape has grown on me, didn't like the pre-facelift though.

The factory specials are fun though, it's something loud and garish and a bit psychotic. I know someone with a modded ST and it looks cool but the look of the RS is pretty tasty, I'd drop the coin on it if I could. Pays a damn good tribute to the old RS Turbo.

Looked pretty good to me but I prefer the white to the green.

    Top Gear's verdict: uncool

    Reason: asbo drivers, aka chavs.

    That's us told.
Last night saw a sharp dip in my appreciation of those three, I really do hope the format changes next season.
Aston ending was inspired, but tbh was required to pick up what was arguably their worst show to date.

yeh - the quickest hatchback yet made is uncool.....a practical, use everyday rocket of a car that must be a hoot to own and drive, but then they also said the lambo SV was uncool so go figure

inspired ending like said above - that Aston looked fantastic

I saw one yesterday at the Woodvale Rally. It looked a beast.

Last time a top gear verdict held any substance was when Tiff Needell was there tbh.

I would have thought most on here would see through their misguided entertainment show! Still an ok watch but do agree, the recent episodes have been weak. They need to remember where they came from - a programme for car nuts. Anyway, OT now....

Would not say the FRS was exactly chav but can see how they might look that way in years to come. Would take an R26R over it all day long. Take the R26R up to equal terms on power and it would slaughter the FRS.
