ouch, that aint long! how much does a 11lb bottle cost to refill???
If you use a progressive controler can you make it last a little longer??

100bhp jets you use 1lb every 10 secs without progressive controller i get about 16 runs on my 10lb bottle with the progressive controller on a 3sec build up.

on th 50bhp jets without progressive you will get about 20 runs on the 1/4 mile.

i do my own refills so it costs alot less ;)

That's what most people say when you tell them  !!

But think about that for a second foot burried against the boards for a solid 4 minutes and not forgetting your car is up 50hp over standard and probably a hell of a lot more torque.

Next time you overtake a car count how many SECONDS it takes. May seem like a silly comment but 4minutes lasts a lot longer than you may think!! I run 75hp in my mk3 and have an 11lb bottle and It's not like I have to re-fill every week when I subject it to general road use.

    Yes it is!!

Fitting is an absolute piece of p#ss. Only thing to make sure you think about is pipe routing and injector location. If you want it checked then any of the WoN dealers could help you out. But better than that is the WoN forum, post your query's and instal picks there and you'll have a reply within the hour normally (time of day within reason!)

If you are at all serious about getting into nitrous use (an you definitely should be) then I can't recommend enough Trevor Langfields (of WoN) (The Wizard!) book which covers all the basics.

    http://www.noswizard.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=97

I'd get this straight away before buy a kit, then you'll know exactly what to buy, how to instal and how to set up on your own.

Anything else then send me a PM and we can meet up or I can give you a call.

cheers sdj_mk3, ill get that book then get to work! always read your posts on nos and it makes me want it more and more. My 8v is pushing around the 140hp mark at the moment, so a nice 50shot on progressive should make it fly when needed!

How do you have yours set up? progressive? and what rev range do you use yours throu?

Im looking at running sub 15 sec quaters after the car goes on a diet! ;) :)

Shouldn't be too much of a task with a 50 shot set up nicely.

I'm running a single point wet delivery WoN SB100i kit with an 11lb bottle, (where the back seats used to be!! ;)) bottle heater and a (very) basic (cheap ebay job) progressive controller. Car is around 150bhp normally asspirated and I'm running 75bhp of gas. Progressive controller hits with about 40bhp of gas (Which I activate anywhere above 3.5k, usually 4k) with a rise time to 75bhp of about 2 seconds. I tend to run it in 2nd 3rd and 4th.

Its not a mental system or mental power output but it does the job. Makes easy work of 225 TT's and cupra R's in a straight line, again mainly due to the massive torque from the nitrous system rather than the peak power.

Been following this thread for a bit and starting to do some research on fitting it to my 2.0 8V mk2, what is the cost of filling say a 10lb bottle.

Bottle of that size will usually be 11lb but irespective. about 5 per lb from a re-fill station. If you keep you're own large bottle (88lb) in the garage and fill yourself it works out much cheaper. Brookster can probably give you a better idea of price when done this way. But I would estimate more like 3.50 per lb.

How long that lasts is posted earlyer in this thread. (I think price might be too...)

    So 5lb bottle 25 and an 11lber 55 ;)

I've got a wizard of nos kit on my 2.0 8v (seat ibiza) with the plans of going from 100bhp jets to 150 bhp jets. by far the best money i've spent.

100bhp!? Up to 150!? Tell me more.

Any mods to the engine bottom end/top end? What progressive controller are you using.
Assume its direct port at that level.
