about 18psi safely, with decent intercooling. which would be circa 300bhp.

thats good. with a ko4 you can run 300bhp but that is on the limit.

    whats the handling like?

The guy on the Fireblade obviously didn't have the balls to ride it properly, those bikes are in a completely different league acceleration-wise to almost anything on 4 wheels....... but you have to know how to ride them! ;)

probably was a 2lite 16v nova as, no offence if it had been a turbo it would have eaten you alive even in standard form.

surely a mclaren f1 is lighter than a nova??? nova 1200 weighs in about 700kgs and a 2litre 16v will be about 800.

you can make nova's handle even with big engines in them. the turbo nova that we built handles very very well, all due to 60mil lowered tie bar brackets with rose jointed cast camber spherical bearings, box sectioned bottom arms and uni ball ball joints all makes it stronger on the road. infact the turbo with a quick rack fitted could outhandle a mates prezza and he was trying to keep up with me round a roundabout. power to weight, low as feck, lim slip diff and it grips like hell.

only problem im starting to realise is, its just a nova. its a tin box flying machine with little or no class and has cost me a lot of money.

    Other problem is rust!

I had to sell my Nova GTE for two reasons, inner wings were on the way out and I was sick of the abuse I got for driving it!

Good nice handling car but I prefer the golf, mmmm build quality :) .

you should have been with me coming back from Bruntingthorpe where i was stuck to the ass end of anAudi TT for a while (the sucker bottled it before i hit the 5th limiter) probablly scared the pants off him as i later shot past popping flames at the mug's bumper.

vel join the club. last year i was coming into the queensgate tunnels on a sunday night after being to the uci, three up in my old grey 8v and saw a nova try, thought 'i know i'll drop a cog and smoke him' sadly not, it was the metallic black one with nos. woops. i got out of the tunnels at full chat and couldn't see him anywhere for dust.

VW's are far superior in build quality but when it comes to handling a properly set up VW will not out handle a properly set up Nova. Gotta say that because previous to my GTi i had a GTE Nova with adjustable spax all round with 15" comps and as standard the handling was go - cart like but with uprated suspension it was phenomenal, cornering like it was on rails. Right enough biggin up the Novas [:D]
