Looks great in black, and good to see you back I know what you mean about life taking over. Mine is going that way unfortunately
Reading back over this makes me realise how much I need to get back out on track. Currently just about to give the car some much needed love and attention through a service, needs a wax (everyone knows that makes it go quicker) and get some sign writing back on there.
It might be considered a bit far and we have an event that could suit you. Club GTI track and fun day, next week, Sept 6th, at the Curborough Sprint circuit in Litchfield. Still 6 or so places left.
Thanks, I'm sure it would be a good event but I can't make that weekend. Might try and squeeze onto a Circuit Days event towards the back of the year but it's all dependent on costs and time.
Booked onto the Oulton Park trackday on Saturday 14th November. Just need to make sure the car is all prepped now. Is anyone else going along?
New parts. Not the most exciting but very useful Forge PCV Delete to give the car a little more reliability on the boost system. Unsure where I will be mounting the gauges, I am trying to keep costs down while ensuring things are done properly and once.
Hoping to fit at the weekend ahead of Oulton Park in November. I also get a little overrevving when changing gears/releasing the throttle - unsure if it is coming from boost system or the map itself.
No, it's been happening since the engine conversion. And to be honest, not sure if it is actually a problem or just a preference. Plus, don't think the standard revs counter is quick enough for the engine.
Is that a standard map or did r tech remap it What throttle pedal are you using the standard mk4 one I ment to ask you before but forgot to
It's a Ruddel Motorsport map, popular German company and a contact of the guy who did the engine conversion. Built a couple of really nice MkI and MkII Escorts. Planning on taking it to R Tech if I ever go stage 2+ The pedal is the Mk2 S3 (8P) pedal, this was easier than trying to get the mk4 pedal to work.
