i could jump on the band wagon and start defending my car but whats the point? it's not perfect (no one's car is) and it's not finished (again if you work on you own car, who's is?)

 

Im glad there are things about my car that some people dont like..... means that there arent gonna be loads of other people driving round with teh same mods to me.

I would actually been seen dead in a standard oak green mk2. I'd rather eat razor blades in shit than drive that mk2.


speaking of which, my mate bought one for 110, spent 600 on a spray job and about 200 on bits to get it MOT'd, then sold it for 2100! hahaha, Oak Green muppets.

That particular car isnt to my taste, but then I wouldnt go out of my way to own a 90 spec oak green Mk2 either.

I cant imagine anything more boring than a scene full of nothing but 90 spec Mk2 Golfs.

I`m not advocating bodykits etc either (they are truly sh*t) but theres a nice middle ground.

I`d quite merrily respray an oak green Mk2 in Tornado Red as I prefer the colour.

Ah ... I can hear those purists ranting from here.

The "purists" are raving over it, i think it looks rank, Dragon Green is much nicer.

 

I quite like Dragon Green, even though it was the worst colour for resale.

Theres a rather nice 5dr Mk3 8v near here in Dragon Green on Audi rims.

I have a 5 door car for the reason that, occasionally, I like to load things on the back seats (drugged women, mainly).
Not only that, if you've got someone in the car who gets violently carsick, they can get out in time, rather than puking all over you, the seats, carpet etc, etc...

Vectras/Jettas/Octane isnt my favourite person in the world, but he has a point. Mod your car the way you want. I'm personally into OEM+ modding, but your quite a heavy modder..cough. And I certainly know from reading your posts you don't give a f**k about anyones opinion but your own mate
