PVW "What not to wear" (post your own)

as it says about, add you're very own "what not to wear" comments. forget holding back, just tell us what you REALLY think.


No need to mention the chavvy stuff, we all know that all that crap is totally wrong, I'm on about VW scene stuff that you just hate, or don't 'get'


I'll start.


Whitewalls ----------- wrong, unless the car was buikt in the 50's then don't do it.


Graphics ------------- no, no matter what they are, they are just plain wrong.


13" wheels -------------no, especially if they are ATS classics.


wheels that don't fit-------------again, no, try again with ones that fit.


cheap tyres-----------please......1000 on the wheels, but 100 on the tyres...how is that meant to be "tuning??"


Roof racks---------------for decorate and "styling" purposes. sad, very sad. OK for carrying wood and bumpers and stuff, but that's it.


Chromed anything ------------- chrome has no place on a car, except for heat reflective reasons, in which case, gold is better.


Air-ride---------------------and the point is?


fake retro-------------------making a car appear older than it really is....WHY???


a stripped interior on a car that will never ever get taken on track-------why put up with the noise??


fake carbon----------particularly nasty stuff, don't go there.


shiney, or ally interior trim------------chavtastic.


colour coded wheels-------unless they are black, they're gay (sorry dalj!)


I could go on , and believe me I will, but it's your turn now, I'm going out to get drunk.

M3 lights, infact any non stock light clusters really

 

i just hate people who think there cars the nuts, and sl*g other peoples attepts off.

 

and those stupid indicators with extra lights in.

Wolfsburg badges

alloy bee-stings, alloy door pins

late badges on old cars

people that spend money tarting a car up only for it to really be a bag o' pooe

g60 arches without the wheels to fill them

cars that are so low they look wrong

later ronal turbo's with the writing i don't really like, but i f**king loath them on big bumper mk2's(generally)

cross hair lights-i really hate these things

eyebrow spoilers

er, there will be more-i hate lots of things

 

any bit of stick on tat that wasn't there from the factory.

Because when you have the horrible horrible lump of excrement that is the 8v GTI engine under your bonnet, you need all the help you can get, even on the road.

 

any fake badges
1000's spent on car that cost 700 tops

 

I agree with all of the above, particularly 'fake retro' like roofracks, whitewalls and the like on 80's and 90's cars - really chaffs me off!

 

What not to wear...B0ll0xs is what i say.
Its like follow these rules and you might earn some sort of respect from others in the scene, allow you to wear there sticker, be in there gang etc etc... whoopy f"cking do

EVERYTHING Phatty said in his first post is wrong, wrong wrongity wrong apart from the cheap tyres bit...

I hate:

* Alloy door pins
* Those grille eyebrow things/'badboy' bonnets

and probably loads of other things too, but that's all I can think of right now.

 

I just think its done to personal choice and tastes tbh, some mods you like, some you dont. Depends on the scene you in...... Fast or furious, or keeping things subtle and original looking......

Take this example i found in chestester a couple of weeks ago......



........looks f**kin hidious but atleast they have had a go and probably loved doing it and seeing the end result.

Sorry but that car is as funny as..... i mean, WTF were they thinking when they were fitting all that??

My favorite part of the car are the massive spotlights on the front of it
