Just pasting this across from other forums:

Thought this was quite a nice gesture so felt id make folks aware of it here. A member of Pistonheads has setup an appeal for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance through justgiving.com in thanks for their work getting Richard Hammond to hospital in double quick smooth running time.

    The link is here. http://www.justgiving.com/PHRichardHammond

If anyone does make a donation to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity, please make sure you tick the extra boxes to get your tax back off Gordon Brown to add to the donation.

More details about the work of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity can be found here.

MY thoughts are with The Hamster and his family at this time. Hope he makes a full recovery, although BBC are now reporting that he has suffered a "serious Brian Injury" [:s] [:^(] Although Doctors at Leeds General Infirmary said they were "reasonably optimistic" he'd make a good recovery

Its time's like this that remind me of my Child hood Hero, Eddie Kidd, and just hope this accident any any injuries don't effect the Hamster anywhere near as bad.

    Good well soon

Just seen how much money has already been donated to the YAA from that justgiving page - astonishing.

This incident could turn out to be one of the best things ever to happen to the air ambulance - they do the same thing every day, but this time they're getting some seriously well deserved publicity.

Thats a stunning amount of money raised for the Air Ambulance.

Just shows how passionate petrol heads are about their scene.

I hope he recovers and can continue to do what he loves - driving and racing and entertaining us petrol blooded lot!

Not gonna quote the guy on the forum because it's bad taste but have a look at the 3rd episode from the last series where they're discussing the new konegsigg[sp?] for the cool wall.
Just watched it again today and though[:[]
