solid front mounts on ebay

    Nope - I bought one from King Kwik on here, which works well. That looks like a good deal, if it fits properly.

    Don't use the stainless bolts for that, A2/A4 stainless aren't that strong.
    These are the same, although posatge could whack it right up:

    thats duff's from on here , quality bits of kit , seen them in the flesh and know quite a few people that have them too

    What are the pro and cons of fitting front solid engine mounts? heard you can get alot of vibration, which will cause lots of rattling in the car. is it worth it on a daily?

    Can I ask a question? How deep is the thread for the bolt? All that stress on a block of aluminium makes me think that the threads will get very stressed?

    a solid front mount is a defo if your gonna have a 4branch like ive had oen on mine for ages...

    No 4 branch on mine, just lots of torque.

    320bhp at the moment, but it is due a re-map after fitting new valves and intake manifold plus there is nitrous to go on :lol:

    I got one from Duff ages ago, quality piece of kit. Can't fault it any way. There is a fair bit more cabin rattle but I expected that. Makes a great difference to gearchanges and when braking hard or changing direction quickly on track you don't feel the weight of the engine moving around.

    I've heard of people placing a small piece of rubber (like a cut out from a door mat) below the mount to reduce the vibration.
