The GT4 Nurburgring Challenge

That was the best i could do today, There was a thread on here about a year ago(?). I was a lot better then and managed to do a 7:21 with no down force or nitrous.

Whats your fastest lap times using any car?

 

No, Switch all the driving aids off.

But i do use the little mushroom bits on the pad for steering and acceleration/braking .

 

yea iv got the nos set around 70 and just use it on the uphills and the straights, the mk1 is a nice car to drive, pulls well out of corners! I was trying with the f1 car to set a fast time I got to 5.24 and gave up, but thats the fastest iv been round the ring, never tried the R8!

 

May be trying the analogue for accelerating too then!

Oh and can I ask what suspension stuff you're running? I'm forever changing bits but is it for the better? Never

Heres the settings i'm using.

Spring rate F=5.0, R=5.0
Ride height F=105, R=105
Compression F=4, R=4
Rebound F=8, R=8
Camber F=5.0, R=4.0
Toe F=-1, R=0
Roll bar F=4, R=4

Gearing is just set to 15 with the Final drive at 3.700

Nos = 40 (only on the straights)

Differential = add 5 points to initial and acceleration but leave deceleration alone

Down force F=15 R=15

 

Sorry to be a pest Paul, but what type of diff are you using, I still can't get under 7.40 either that I need a lot more practice.

right then after pauls impressive time I thought I better try again this afternoon! Now im afraid I got another time for you guys to beat, again this was using the steering wheel in manual! I turned all driving aids off although the car is a bit sketchy but you can carry more speed out of the corners! Not a massive improvement but I reckon that a 7:10 is possible!

 

I might see if I can try and get my dead camera working again, 7:20.186 for me with a bit of an off.

 

iv put another new time in! Ill post it soon, want to see if anyone will beat 7:13.9

Good time! I was thinking that a 7:10 was possible while doing the 7:14 lap as there were a few scruffy bits in it.

Unfortunately its going to be a few days before i can get back on the playstation to rise to the challenge as i have a 4000 word college assignment that needs to be in on Monday evening![:^(]

I'll be back in a few days, but does anyone know what the next challenge will be?

Iv sort of got bored aswell but I moved onto Toca 3 on the xbox as I like the UK tracks!
