The GT4 Nurburgring Challenge

****, I must have done 20-30s lap last weekend and couldn't get any thing below a 1:35. But I'm rubish with anything fwd on GT4.

Now if we we're using a M3 GTR Roadcar or Merc 190 Evo.....

Going to try PAUL1970's set up and have another go tonight.

 

Next challenge. Defo.

 

Are you doing it in a particular car?

 

Paul's setup works VERY well with the mk1. I'd never have thought of using so much camber.

I know the feeling jonny, I've done maybe 20-30 laps in the mk1 since the best time was posted here and the closest I could get was a 7.15 and that was with going straight on at Adenauer So I gave up.

I guess it's only fitting that we hand over to Nick as the winner here to select the next challenge.

So what's it going to be? I fancy DTM cars or similar tbh.

forza 2 is out on 8th june looks to be xbox's gt i dont know how you got that time my old man is determined to beat it hes the don when it comes to GT or tiger woods ha ha

If it's going to be the merc 190 touring car next, here's my first attempt.

 

any tips on setup this time Paul? The mk1 settings worked well.

 

I've kept the same settings as i did with the golf. I just increased the spring rate a bit (by 3.0 F&R I think?). Gears are 16 or 17 i think (tops out at just over 200mph).

 

I love this game, still can't beat 8mins with the golf though, and my best time in a 500bhp m3 that corners like it's on rails is only 7.30!! might have to leave this to the pro's!!

 

Just to confirm for everyone were using the merc 190 touring car now! Pauls 6.06 is the time to beat!

 

did a 6:51 with the evo last night on about the 4th or 5th lap, something tells me i wont be beating 6.06 lol

 

tried a few laps in the evo ended up with 6.31 dont think ill come close to 6.06

 

anyone got close to pauls time?? I just got back and had a couple of goes, did a 6.11 after a few laps ill have another go later tonight! The merc is a right handful with all the driving aids switched off!

 

Getting faster ....but not by much



This ones a bit quicker than the golf and it's a LOT twitchier, when it all goes a bit wrong it happens really fast.

 

agreed! are you using any driving aids? if you lose it with this car its all over very fast!
