Looks good, what the plans with itb's? I've been looking for 16v Weber manifold for ages but getting one made now!
Try these guys for a webber manifold http://www.mts-motorsport.com/epages/61752271.sf/en_US/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61752271/Products/%22MOGEAN%20004%22
Trouble is my itbs are 48s, manifold should should be ready this week! Well it was meant to be ready last week
So a few more bits have arrived The header tank Seemed a shame to take the sandpaper to something so shiny but the 'polished' look won't work with the rest of the details so is now satin black Another coat and will get a pic Next up 'Thanks to Funkstar' sourced the later style cable shifter/tower and gearbox (Gearbox is now on eBay because i only needed the tower) And with the tower fitted up to the O2A box i'm using Also painted up the slave cylinder so can get that fitted up soon I will tidy the tower up before fitting to the car The rear brake T-piece has arrived and now fitted using the rear seat fitting so can crack on with making some more brake lines It's getting there slowly
They're not standard brown ones - i did a rush job covering them in vinyl for this years show season Making some flush cards now
It's one of the universal OBP ones - got it complete and unused from someone's abandoned drift project. Planning on making a prototype bracket this week depending on whether i can get hold of a welder or not Looking forward to seeing the beige one coming together
Managed to get the O2J shifter fitted today Still need to make a bracket to mount the back and then it's onto the pedal box Going to start taking the dashboard and current pedal box out tomorrow
More dismantling today Took the dash out and ran out of time to remove the pedal box to start making a template for the OBP What a mess
One thing i've never tried and always wanted to was welding so picked one up and today was the very first attempt Made up a bracket for the rear of the shifter and got it in place, finished with some paint and need to get some bolts I know it's not the prettiest but it does the job Now onto the pedal box
After getting a whole heap of steel (More than i'll ever need as long as i don't F anything up) i thought i'd make a start on making up a bracket for the pedal box Started with a sheet and ended up with this Still needs a fair bit of tweaking but it's sort of getting there
Nice setup. Are you going to leave the filler bottles down with the pedals or put in longer pipes so they sit in the raintray?
Would have it been a good idea to extend the front section to come right up to the seat mount? Then floor is fkat?
This was a sort of trial and error piece but thinking that might be a better approach and, like you said, the floor will be flat and easier to work with then If there's enough space then the bottles will stay where they are, otherwise they'll be relocated to the scuttle
Once they are full there is no need to keep topping them up just need to be checked, only issue you may come across is bleeding them if pipe work is higher than the level of the fluid
