Maybe not a nurburgring sticker - could be from another track...Brands Hatch?

    The car looks great

No, but there's a trip being planned for the Mk1, both Spa and the 'Ring, in mid June.

First time it'll have been out there since April 2000.

    love this car.

is there any more improvements planned this year?

out of curiosity, does a trip to the ring "spoil" other tracks for you?

Suspension tweaks are always being tried. The car is more or less regarded as complete, but the one main thing which hasn't been done is a kitcar rear axle, because the fuel tank is in the way on a Mk2, which then means the hassle of relocating a reasonably sized tank somewhere. Being a trackday car, a tank inside the car isn't really wanted.

The question about the 'Ring I assume isn't really for me. Maurice hasn't driven the 'Ring for a few years, but his son Trevor races out there regularly in the VLN endurance races and yet still enjoys driving Brands Hatch in either of the Golfs, just by virtue of them being very quick, very focusing bits of kit.

I suppose the fact that Trevor's taking the Mk1 to Spa and the 'Ring tells us something, though I've a feeling it has a couple of Porsche 911 GT3s on the menu ;)

Fairly innocuous from the back, but front and sides, definitely.

    Needs a rear diffuser, FTW!

It runs race-valved adjustable units, and yes, very effective.
