thought they were, the look so good!

will the arches being rolled make much of a difference, coz the offset
of these wheels is way off what they should be so im told.

any idea of cost of gettin them rolled...and where/what is ccw?

anyway back to my car trouble, i dont hear any pressure releasing when i take off the fuel cap

the offset on my BBS on the mk1 is 24!! so i rolled my arches myself its easy, take the plastich arch off, get a piece of timber 3x2, wrap a rag arround it, place it on the outside of the arch, and gently tap the inside of the ach with a hammer easy, the paint will crack, so just touch it up, replace the arch, you may need to stick it on, job done it may sound like a botch job, but this s how most people do it.

they are rivited on, i used some kind of mastic suff, like silacone but better, have a look in B&Q they should have something.

i know it does sound like a cowboy job, but its the best way to do it IMHO.

but there must be a cause of this problem, if i get a recon block and
head, then all my bolt ons are gonna be the same...and may still get
this problem...which will be an expensive 400 (ive looked into prices
    already )

can any old garage set up my timing..i dont have the tools/experience
to do this, and i wana make sure its spot on! do you know what the
timing should be on this engine?

This is for the MK2 1.3:

Edit: All useless for the MK1 engine

No idea if this is valid for the MK1 sorry.

i have a college book, and its saying i could set up the static
ignition timing...will this be ok? from what it says, i reckon i'd be
    able to do this...

ie align the marks on the crank and cover and turn the distributor until the points are just opening....

or shall i get it done properly?

as for those timing values, the arent valid for the mk1 gg engine block, i'll post up the correct ones later.
