Don't think you'll get a decent Delta for that money... for decent, looked after ones you're talking 6-12K

what about these, apart from the famous French (lack of) build quality?

 

you must be able to get a tidy Mondeo V6 for that money...

 

The most performance you will ever get for 2.5k is to get a bike...for out right acceleration and 'fun' there's nothing that will come close....

You could easily pick up a GSXR1100 for that money and if that doesn't scare you pooless then try adding some nos.

Bloke at work has just bought a mint H reg E30 320i for 600!
I know they're not the fastest Beemer for that era, but the sound of that straight six is worth every penny.

Might be tempted by a rover vitesse, my mate was doing one up a while ago and it had a hell of a lot of power, not sure what speed he got out of it in the end but he said it was a very fun car, and hes originally a VW'er too.

 

you mean a merc 190e 2.5 16v cosworth? yep, they are indeed fun and fairly quick. a mate has one, and it doesn't spend a lot of time going in a straight line!
