I paid under 2k for my Audi Coupe 20v Quattro.... 2309cc, 20v and around 170Bhp.

Currently getting around 25 MPG though (driving it like a grandad!) so not too cheap to run.... but a cracking car.

MUCH prefer it to the e30 325 I had.

You can get something like these, maybe not as good condition but they would be solid, no rust and with a little tinkering with the engine im sure you would have a bit of a beast... :p

    Ahh Stingrays,awesome looking car.Probably a touch over 2.5k.

What model was the Dukes of Hazard? [:D]I'd love one of those, wheels used to look awesome from memory?

    I'd have to say:

    Lancia Delta Integrale
Jag XJS V12 (some of these are stupid money)
    Saab 900 Turbo
Old square light Audi Coupe Quattro

We used to have one of these at work, it wasn't that quick in-gear acceleration wasn't as good as my g40.

The Toyota Celica GT40 or Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo are my choice.

The Fiat may be a Fiat but many can be bought for less than 3K, and I think they are a 2.0L 5-cylinder Turbo which does 60 in around 6 secs. [8D]
