Does anybody remember the first TT 16v turbo MK2 demo car it was Oak green and had the dual boost switch on the dash I think it was either in Fast Car of CCC and if I remember correctly the mag also had a feature on a twin turbo supra....

That MK 2 started all the VW madness for me :p

I wonder where that car is now...it has a lot to answer for..

vw inspired me....im just refining ;)

probably the one car that kick started me into actually modding my car was russdubs J90 DUB. when i saw him on the a3 about 2 years ago.

next year im going for the mag style car and the one car that sticks out in my mind is chris p's old car.

    what a stunning motor

Dad's first mk1 GTi (no.7 in the UK), then his three Ur Quattros (the last was a Treser), then his 928, then his mates loony 911 Turbo, and another mates Lotus Elan SE (it may have been 70s but it was stunning).

My first visit to GTI International done to me,was 10 years ago mind :)

Dunno if any of you remember a lad called Rob Pinning from way back on
the e-groups list, I really like his car and it was probably the reason
my first mk2 looked like it did. Nothing special, 15" steels 2 lamp
grill with BB and late CL spats but very low... got wrecked as i recall

Since then Reeves and Vanstone have been to blame for my current
project (should it ever hit the track of course, its just blown a good
    gearbox...[:x])

Is that the sleeper, Jake? They're more trouble than they're worth!
(See my members' motors thread for the latest troubles I've been having.)

I've liked a lot of cars over the years but the one that actually influenced
me the most was probably Malc Ring's (used to post on the old forum as
Bullit) gold 210bhp(?) Grant Motorsport mk1 2.0 16V. Ratty standard
looks, Golf C badge on the back and plenty of power. [:D] Anyone got any
    pictures of it?
