    has anyone got any pictures of "g60 one" oak green mk2 , azevA wheels ,absolutely immaculate,it won gti international a few years ago ,
    or does anyone know what has happened to it ?
    it was a mate of mine that built the car and we have never seen or heard of it since !,

    I just loved the look of mk1 golfs and found mine, 1st car I looked at and had to have it:)

    This car inspired me, loved how tough it looked.:)

    can someone please explain the infatuation with that car, it comes up as peoples fave golf ever time and again, and i just cant see why?!

    It was the first race-inspired show-car, and was built with such attention to race-car detail. Magnesium Speedline wheels, multi-point cage.

    For anyone now into track days, that car was one of the original hard-as-nails 'racers'.

    The 2 veedubs that have inspired me the most are Riley's mk1 and Danny Allen's orange mk 1[:D] [:D] [:D]

    they made me want one of my own.

    Artie Loft's candy blue mk1, Ian (smiler) Brimlow (??) lime green mk2 vr. Various beetles/ ghia's/splitties etc as i was into (still am) air cooled stuff. the silver mk2 above.

    I think you'll find that you with your own threads & altern8 with his old revivals are far worse than me :lol:

    one car i remember was TSR's 1st vr6 turbo with the bonnet vent over by the wing?

    It's cool to see someone else comment on this car at last! I shall have to try and get the original article scanned out of the old Golf magazine I have. It is still the car that inspires me several years on. I'd like to know what happened with it.
