5th gear site video much better than the youtube one as that is missing the 1st 2mins.

Was a great bit of VW loving going on there & laughed at Tom from TSR in the vid.

& JK from Top Gear is a big Mk1 fan so VW must have been doing something right.

    Fantastic!!

Standard looking MK2 16V with stonking performance.....reminds me of my old bus CFJ fettled by the old Tim Stiles set up for those that know it from the early trackday scene with Bill, Gary(GVK) Graham from TSR, Macca in B6 TB valver to name but a few....the good old days of cheap fun.

    Must get it back now!

Out of interest I kept the previous weeks episode on Sky with the FocusST 1.46.7 and the and Astra Ring Meister 1.47 ish and I note the valver posted a 1.45.9.
Tom (TSR) tells me it was still tight but achieved a 1.43 later but due to editing they had to rush through the filming.
Tiff was well impressed from his conversation with the lads over the phone.

Can't beat good old light weight MK2 valver with some basic engineering upgrades!

Love it! Looks the dogs too. Just re-confirms what we all know! [:^:]

Bit pricey all that as a drive-in-drive-out I'd imagine..
