    Here's your manifold Lee.

    The broken stud!

I managed to get it out eventually thanks to some tiny burrs that Justin (Mushy) sent to me and a fine pointed chisel. Spot the deliberate mistake?[8(]

Hope the other studs come out OK with just a bit of gentle persuasion?;)

Sorry Lee but I don't have a downpipe for you.[:^(]

dont worry too much about those studs, they arnt needed on an abf. or a kr really, only to hold the shroud on for warm air feed and it does bugger all in the uk on an injection car anyway

Hey up John! What's all this dirty talk about abfs and krs? It's an 8V manifold for Lee's proper solid lifter EV motor! As if I'd touch nasty valver stuff?[:x]

PS. I don't care if the studs are not required, I'll still get the old ones out and fit new ones! ;)

The old blowing exhaust is gone. I got around to fitting my new exhaust yesterday...mostly. I was going to just fit the 2 rear boxes as they were blowing very bad. I had them off in about 30 minutes, then decided to take the heat shield off and install my last 2 harness mounts. Not fun and a little difficult by myself. I drilled the holes just a few mm too low but there in and I'll have my harnesses for Curby[:D] Put the heat shield back on and was thinking this will be quick...yeah not really. he down pipe and the first silencer pipe were the same size[:x] after a lot of streching I got it to fit, by a few mm[eek]. Today I went back to the shop with the first silencer to fit it properly. The previous owner of my golf had removed the original first silencer and replaced it with a peice of scafolding then reattached the down pipe. So today I cut off most of the down pipe to this
[IMG]I removed the last bit of scafolding before I installed the first silencer
    [IMG]
then attached the rest of the exhaust

No more exhaust leak[:D] The wife, mother-in-law and neighbors will be pleased
