Worst one I know is an Audi RS6 to a Fabia vRS - Ouch!

 

2002 Pug 106 1.6xsi, 110bhp, lowered on 16's, smoothed locks and boot, and a load of I.C.E.

2005+ Golf Mk2 16vT, 222bhp

hello new to the site tonight. first car was a 1275gt mini on a t reg 1978 use to call it the little beast. 2nd car was a escort 1.6 ghia on a b reg it was a minta. if you remember them they were the escort that never got rust (apart from under the car). 3rd car. then got a mk3 astra gsi 16v in white on a j plate that was a fast car but engine probs got in the way. 4th car was a mk3 golf gti 8v on a p plate 96. paid 7.5k for that 2.5 years old when i got that 25k on the clock. keept that for 3 years 4 new tyres and a back box in all the time i had it. great. got a escort van for the fishing. i have still got it today. then got a lexus is 200 spoort on a 02 plate. good car but not as sporty as i wanted. thought i would be grown up a bit like. a familey man. pxed that in sep this year for a brand new golf gti 200ps me first new car. spent 24k on it and the boy has come back out in me. love it.

1) 1989 F. Ford Fiesta 1.0L "bonus" in black, bought for 200. orange pepperpot alloys, 1.4S interior, peco back box . reincarnated using car below and sold for 450 and kid killed it an cubed it[:^(]

2) 1988 E Ford Fiesta XR2, bought for 200. cosworth blue all colour coded bodykit, spax adjustables, full ashley exhaust, blue/black "sports" seat covers, ebc brakes. killed it on drive home[:^(] so stripped it an as many parts as poss were put onto the 1.0L - all bodykit sprayed up by cans /black hammerite - LUSH

3)1992 J Ford Fiesta 1.3SX sport edition. bought for 500 with 50k on an 2owners, white, full RS Turbo bodykit in black, lowerd 80mm+ on xr3i dogleg alloys, then 14inch oz SuperTs, webber 36 carb (off previous xr2) then dellorto 40 off MGB GT- overfuelled heavily but fast for 1.3. sold for .... 900 still going around today but rotten as.

4)1990 G , Ford Orion 1.6 - FREE, blue dented on every panel, graffiti over one side no interior, no windows, no lights, no exhaust system inc manifold. BUT solid low millage engine. Took it as i wanted the engine for my 1.3 fiesta. sat on my drive for few months before i decided i couldnt be arsed with swapping engine so i took it to scrappy- got pulled over by cops on way.. no tax no insurance, no MOT, not my car couldnt remember name of guy i got it from needless to say 1 v unhappy cop an 1 court appearance for me- got away with it though

5) 1989 BMW 316I, bought 200, black 4 door tinted windows tsw alloys, met black passenger side bonnet an boot, immaculate interior with all toys BUT Matt black driver side. Blew engine up - 3inch wide hole in side of block and a cam that looked like a banana.

6) 1990 Golf GTI 8v,bought for 800, tonado red, 5 door, totally original except CD player and CD changer, bought as a run around whilst considered new engine an respray for bmw... liked golf so much scrapped bmw and bought my 1st 16v sold for 650

7)1986 golf GTI 16v, 3dr silver, bought for 275 with 12mths MOT a 450 bill from 10 days before for MOT?? FULL service history 2 previous owners both local. bit of rust but mint interior and fantastic engine - STILL OWN

8)1985 B, Golf GTI 8v, bought for 122 off ebay, no MOT/TAX but silver so it donated doors, wings, bonnet, boot lid essentially every removable panel. these were fitted to the 16v.

9) 1990 Golf GTI 16v Helios blue 3dr. bought 1500, 56k, leather, electrics, power steering, spax adjustables, bbs, lots more. now 9A conversion KR cam etc - Still own, hopefully will be ready JAN 07

10) who knows.. really fancy a Nugget yellow corrado G60

1) 1999 Polo 1.0l. bought for 1100, off granny with 48k an FVWSH, mint green, lowered, all green hella lights, exhaust, alloys , lots of stereo kit! sold 1750

2) 1983 Mk1 Golf 1.1C , bought 166 off ebay, MOT'd , drove for 1month an polished twice added GTI front seats before being sold for 450. WISH still had it[:^(]

3) 1986 Scirroco GT, bought for 100 off ebay, no MOT/TAX but every part for MOT in boot hehe. MOT'd sold for 450, kid blew clutch up in 10min of owning it- DOH

4) 1991 Polo GT, bought for 590, red, lowered, alloys, re-sprayed, stainless exhaust + decat, soon Chip + filter. Pocket rocket!!!

Mine:

(Mum's) Rover Metro 1.4 GTa 16v. Pretty good little car actually, about 100bhp, went well until I wrote it off.

1.0l mk3 fiesta ****ebox - ran it until the gearbox broke

1.6 mk2 golf CL - Engine gave up on me (dunno what was wrong, but got fed up trying to fix it.

1.8 mk2 golf gti - not brilliant, but it works (when the water punp isnt leaking and the radiator is not full of ice)

 

1990 Nova 1.2 - alloys

1988 Fiesta 1.1 - std

1999 Corsa 1.0 - alloys, exhaust, suspension, ice, interior, tb mod 9More but can't remember)

1990 Golf GTI 8v - Alloys, exhaust, suspension, chip, stereo, lights, brakes, 2E, flowed head and cam coming soon.

Another Vectra DTi - company hack again.

I've had the use of mums and dads cars for periods but no point in mentioning.

MK2 escort (abused by me and my mates then died )
MK4 Capri, 4 Branch and body kit
Opel Manta 2.0 Berlenetta re jetted carb, lsd diff, air filter removed
3 Mk5 Cortina's
5 or 6 Cavaliers
Early 3.0 Opel Senator with man box (had 155 out of that )
2.0 MG Montego (never left my drive)

Then one day i seen the light.
MK3 Golf 1.8 GL in mint condition and much loved car. (GF killed it, see oooppps and hitting a truck hurts)
MK2 90spec Driver
MK1 Clio 1.4rt (not my choice)
MK3 Golf 16v, High Miles but full history, good condition and only 800 to buy.
MK2 Golf 16v, koni shocks, cross drilled disks and lay flat wiper

1993 clio williams,the car I always wanted as a 17yr old,amazing car,until It was written off by being hit from behind by a 17yr old in a clio oh the irony of it

1993 bmw touring,rare L reg,maurius blue,mint with history,only 700quid,a guy offered me 1400quid for it,turned it down[:^(] ,the next week engine blew sold it for 300[:^(]

1997 clio 1.2 rt[:^(] it was all I could afford with 200quid,mot'd and taxed it sold it for 700

finally on to my current car 1991 Golf GTI 8V,alpine white bought for 800quid,half way through making it totally standard again,just the suspension and re=furbed bbs ra's to go on Never selling it

Got wrote off (Not my fault) @ 165k miles

then a Rover 214 Cabriolet, 1.4, Paid 4000 for it in 2001/02 with 50K miles.




Mods: Lowered, Zaust Stainless Exuast System, Pipercross Venom Enclosed Induction kit, Strut Brace, Alpine Headunit, Alpine Componant Speakers up front and Song Rear Speakers, White dials, JBL Amp/Subwoofer, Lowered 40mm, Rover 220 Turbo Brake Conversion, Road Angel Classic and then upgraded to a New Road Angel and forgot about the PIAA led sidelights

During the time with the Rover I got a Ford Granada Ghia, 2.0l Paid 0 for it had 124K Miles on it.





Mods: Kept it Standard

Didnt keep it long only for about 2 months, very comfortable but hated the handling so I went back to the Rover.

So after having the Rover decided I want to go back to the Golf's, wanted a VR6 but couldnt find a decent one so I decided on a GTI 16v the one I have, Paid 2150 in May for it. With 72K miles on it.
