Never been one for religion myself, but Easter Sunday is celebrating the Resurrection and all that is it not?
I just did not think JC came back purely to fix knackered 16valvers. :o

I wonder Dan if your 85 EV is a solid or hydraulic lifter head? Are you driving it to Curby next week?

May want it for an OE 8v vs OE 16v comparison. That is if airforcebiker is not available. Still need to find and unmolested PB engine thing though.

    BUMP.

Did this amazing car you speak of not get beaten by at least 2 8v vehicles at the weekend?

    Pfft  more 8v Propaganda.

A standard 16v, was not beaten by 2 8vs, it was merely slower due to unmodified specification! Results are on the desk (somewhere), yet to be analysed!

Time for a musical interlude I feel:

That's fine, the PFFMV has counsellors who can help you through this difficult time

They may even be able to sell you a 16v engine [:*:]

I don't think it was the 16valve that beat me, I think it was your track experance that beat me

Before counselling (in which a 2.0 16v may just end up being installed) we would need to analyze why this "torque house" of an engine failed to meet up to expectations of the 8AS. The torque alone should have ensured this must have been faster mid corners :o compared to some barn stored 16v.
So hold tight don't weigh it in yet .

I believe loss of torqure mid corner due to no LSD but can't be sure. It's going to take more than one loss to Chris to get a inferior mot...I mean 16 valve in my mk2

You had an 8v with coilovers :o Fixed pan springs on the calibration 16v [8D]

Me, skill? Pfft, I am readily reminded when in faster machinery that it is all about the machinery!!!

I think we need to cordially invite Danster in September to bolster the 8v ranks, when the Green Machine is back on the road ;) I am seeing a tag team effort from Mike_H, Alonzo and Danster!

And straight off to the rolling road the following day after!

Sounds good to me. Should be plenty of time for Danster to finish the green machine
