I've given up at the 'ring, I have better things to do then waste 5 mins on a lap to crash on the same corner every time![:x]

Let me know when the track changes and we are looking at 3 min laps etc:thumbup:

Ta, reckon I can spare that (even though I'm tight as a ducks butt when it comes to buying and modding!)

How do I drive my mk5 on the ring??

Could Cub GTI set up a room an GT5 and we could race whoever, when ever?

Just did a lap in 8.04. My top speed is only 139 and I think my car is fully modded except for my turbo being a stage 2. Any tips to go faster?

Just did another 8.04 but with the bigger turbo and some racing tyres, it was a bit more of a beast and I did half the lap on the grass and spun it once. Pretty hard to control.

Now done a 7.43 but with a rolling start. Top speed was 159mph after changing the grearing.

    What`s your suspension setup?

Lower it as far as it will go (20mm IIRC) up the spring rates by 1. Alter camber to 2.0deg front 1.5deg rear. Leave rear toe at 0, and change the front to 0.15 toe in. Makes a world of difference.

Yeah, but of course a twin-turboed R32 is going to be quicker!

The idea is to all use the same car for comparable times... ;)

Though once we`re all done with the Mk5 perhaps we could have a bash at fastest `Ring time overall.

I think the easiest way is for everyone to be friends and then create a room in thr my lounge. Whenever I log on I check the community section for friends with active lounges to join.

That's how I've joined friend races before anyway. Anyone know a quicker /better /easier method?

Will be trying those settings too Stu, see if I can get my lap any quicker. What gearing have you used? I set my max speed to 180 I think but would only get about 160 on the main straight.

You add friends from the main PS3 menu, your PSN friends are your friends in the game.

When you load the game and go to GT Life mode, click on 'Community' which will show a list of all your friends in a vertical list. If anyone is online and playing they will have a coloured dot and should appear at the top of your list. To see if they have an active lounge click on their name and go to their 'My Lounge' which will show their lounge and who is in it.

Similarly, to host your own lounge, go to the 'My Lounge' part of your profile in the same place and take it from there.

I'm doing 7.34 laps now but havent managed a clean one yet. On my best lap I ended up on my roof and finished in 7.41, DOH!!!

I seem to go faster when my ghost is chasing me.
