GT5 Club GTI race ?

I'm down to a 7.27 now still on auto.

I'm also friends with PhatVR6 and Trumpets4ever but havent raced anyone yet I reckon the extra adrenalyn from racing would bring out a 7.11 from me

 

Oh, i meant to ask, are we allowing invalid laps? ie laps in Red where you've spun off or hit a wall etc. I know they're not likely to be the fastest but sometimes it doesn't take much to get an invalidated lap.

 

I think we should allow them (because I hit a wall every time)

 

Same, i think my lap would cost me more in Armco repairs than the cost of the car & mods!

 

but you can cut the grass and knock about 4secs off in total, so if you do a red lap and its good I think video proof is needed to show there was no cheating.

 

Ok, stupid question here, but how do you actually do a time trial on the 'ring, it's not showing up in the track list

Could someone just confirm if there's any limits to modding this mk5 gti? Just want to have a go on a level playing field and compare times.

No slicks or race modifications I'm guessing? Has the 280bhp thing gone out the window?

Just had another go and can't get near my 7:26! **** this, 7:12 is insane....

 

Likewise, not interested in copying peoples set-ups but what power and tyres are we talking?

 

I'm using soft racing tyres and have 365BHP, 1112kg.

Could we start another thread and all list our PSN usernames? Also the room I set up 'Club GTI MkV Championship' I cant even find it Where would it be and how do we get in it? I think someone more clued up should start the new thread and make the 'room'

 

I think that you make a room and if you leave it it disappears.

Then friends join if they're online, is there a way of messaging all friends to join?

 

Well I struggled but managed to knock a few milli secs of 16valvers time, sure someone will be along shortly to improve on it.

Its still a scruffy lap, tbh I thought Id try being a bit rougher so plenty of curb taken, wouldnt want to drive like it for real. Like I said before I recon 7.10 would be a good time and if you nailed every corner I even recon 7.05 might be possible.

edit: oh and i think it works out closer to 250k once its maxed out
