Get it from Glen's Garage if you are going to do it yourself.
    Also order RS loom too.

You will need another coil driver and 2 330 ohm resistors if going wasted spark, it used to be called a VB921 but appears to have been replaced by a BIP373.

dizzy bank and coil mount from 034 motorsport:

I'll be interested to follow this thread. If I had unlimited time and resources, I'd love to do this to my own car, but at the moment its a bit of a dream. Will be interesting to see how it goes and how much increased in power output you can get from the ability to finely tune the engine.

I do have spare time, I don`t have unlimited resources, hence the DIY approach ;)

Were the charges much? I'm looking for a unassembled kit. I contacted bill shurvigton over here. He does the kit. He sells innovate wideband too. Just thinking it may be easier than goin through the wait and import charges from the states.

Phil is one oif the "extra" code developers

I have had many teething problems with his PCMs on VWs. Always have to reconfigure to suit the application and spend far to much time debugging issues related to the PCM build.

My ms1 V.3 kit and stim came yesterday. Got a glens garage kit from Bill Shurvington. Kit looks good and all labelled up. Dont think i'd save anything by getting it from the states and didn't have any extra charges to pay. Will start making the stim, then move onto the ecu. Just gotta figure out what options i need to use for ignition etc.

if I were you I'd convert it to std abf managment first, then go on to megasquirt. that way you can do it in 'stages', get shor of the k-jet bits first, then when you move on to megasquirt there is less to do
also if you get a spare abf loom you can mod that to your megasquirt ecu plug and have the ability to quickly swap between them :)

In fact this is what I am actually going to do, when my cabby is on the road I'll be converting my ABF on k-jet to ABF managment, then some point in the future possibly get it on megasquirt when i can afford it plus the wideband needed to set it up properly.

rubjonny, it seems like more hassle than necessary to be honest. I don`t have the ABF ECU, ot wiring loom, so I`d have to do the jobs twice. Seems just as easy to go from K-Jet to MS in one go to me.

Right, from reading the replies, I`m thinking I need the following:

    MegaSquirt I ECU kit v3.0 $187.00 - 127

    MegaSquirt Stimulator kit v2.2 $45.00 - 30.50

MegaSquirt Relay Board kit - $65.00 - 44.00 Or should I just make one myself?

Universal Wiring Harness Kit (by RS Autosport) $53.00 - 36

Ignition Coil Driver Kit - $4.50 - 3.00 is this all I need or do I need the Ignition coil driver board - $20.00 - 13.50

I know I need a coilpack, dizzy blank, temp sensor etc, but this is the list from the states, anything else I`ve missed / need?

No need for the relay board, i bought one with my first MS but didn't use it, if you really want to use one you can have mine.

If your going wasted spark the ignition coil driver kit is all you need not the board. You will need a second 330ohm resistor.

Plus postage, vat and import charges. Got the same kit from Bill shurvington. Hes over here and does all the same things as glens garage and prices work out about the same with no hidden extras. Can recommend him. Rs autosport loom and extra coil driver is on back order though. He's on the recommended suppliers list also.
