I'm getting more and more like this, cars from the 70s and 80s that a few years ago I would have thought were crap now have a strange appeal.

The first thing that springs to mind is the E30 325 sports. Very nearly changed for one last year.

AE86's are only good for one thing, round and round and round in cirlces. Okay, I learnt to drive in one at the age of 12 and yes it was great fun but when you actually drive one on the road for real you realize how, slow, rattley, noisy, unconfortable they are.

I would probably be driving something German first of all like BMW, but would be interested in Vauxhall's still.

Sensible speaking probably an e30 325, e39 5 series (would say a e36 325 coupe but every one has one of them now, somtimes i think they're more common than focus's round here), c220 mercedes (the squareish one from from the 90s) etc...

Lots of choice to be had when the VAG blinkers are off realy isnt they, but gun to my head id have to say id be in a 205 1.9 gti totaly stock, ooooh i want one of them now, shame i havent the room.[:^(]

for those who arnt clued up on HACHI ROKU!

The Hachi-Roku is featured by manga artist Shuichi Shigeno in the manga/anime series Initial D. A panda paint-schemed Trueno with a tofu shop signage on its driver's side door is driven by lead character Takumi Fujiwara. A turbocharged (later supercharged) Levin variant is driven by one of Takumi's later rivals Wataru Akiyama. Takumi's friend Itsuki Takeuchi unintentionally buys a lower trim Corolla, a Levin AE85, thinking it is an AE86.

    gotta love the wiki!

E34 535i Sport. In fact I'm buying one, and will either flog the valver as a track car/project or use it as a donor for the Caddy - because BMW don't make stupidly small, rusty pickup trucks. Had a couple of 325i sports as well, fantastic cars. A bit more expensive to run but then VW's are, and always have been, cheaply built economy cars. I still love them, but that's the truth regardless...
