I'll never understand why people have to make comments like this about other peoples cars........[:s] You should learn to keep your thoughts to yourself [:x][/QUOTE]

Why, if you put things up here for every one to see then good or bad comments should be expected, its only my opinion.

Much as I'm a sucker for all all things 80's, in the words of Hall and Oates I can't go for that :p

Fair play for saving something a bit different though

Saw the same car and thought the exact same thing, get rid of that horrible front end and it looks so much better - I really liked the retro 80's feel and a really well spec'd car for their day.

Kind of a Scala Scirocco thing or Coco Channel Mk1 Cabriolet. VERY white and not every bodies cuppa but i kind of think its quite cool.

Would look quite cool with a Rallye front end on it.

Someone on here might be able to photshop it for you if you ask kindly

there were only 50 made to start with- dont know how many were sold though! Quite a few were used as demo cars. The zender lights on mine are what pushes the car well into the niche taste market, but as my intent is to restore I have already tracked down NOS badges and Ill steal the grill from my 16v jetta. The car at Inters was Ants, who runs the Jetta Owners club.

Fair play to you, it's distinctive and true to it's 80's roots! Actually cool now I think. I've actually seen this (or one the same)driving in Milton Keynes last year. Was it you?

all 50 were done by GTI Eng. The one in MK is owned by someone else as mine has been off the road for years really. GTI Eng fitted the bodykits and prepared them and as far as ive seen (so far) none had any engine mods, but ill be surprised if there wasnt a few that did. Ive never seen any modded coupes, but hundred and hundred of cars were fettled by them over the years
