Hi mate, so I unplugged the 2 pin by the battery no difference. I have 12v at the red/black at the coil with it plugged in and at the spade connector near by. I have 12v at isv controller red/black. Also 12v at D26 and B19 which went into B24 aswell. From B19 I have 12v up to green wire on instrument cluster plug no change to spark with this unplugged. The mystery goes on.

Will do, all that info was with ignition on not cranking. Silly question my coil is just floating at the moment does this need to be fixed to the body to function properly?

Is it correct for there to be a bridged wire from b19 to b24?

normal for diesels yes, its how the wire in the headlight loom joins to the rev counter wire to cluster. if you have the d/26 wire you can snip the loop if you suspect the diesel wire in the headlight loom is shorted somewhere

Hi mate, just wanted to run a few things by you.

1.isv does work but very very quiet buzz only heard when ear is very close to it. I have a new sensor in the side of the block, could a bad connection or old/bad wire for the green/Red temp sensor cause lack of voltage running to it? If not anything else that would effect this other than throttle switch.

    2. Am I right in saying I should have ignition live to the wur? If so does it rely on another sensor or switch for it?

Thanks mate you have been a life saver

how are you checkign the voltage? you need 1 probe of the multimeter on battery negative and the other poke into one of the isv pins. try both till you see voltage, think its the white/black wire

try unplugged first, but you might find the isv module detects its missing and wont send voltage. if nothing on either pin plug isv back in then pull the rubber boot back and try again

Hi mate, just checked isv plugged in on ignition black/white 0.3 and white 4v and I'm sure that's the same out of 244 relay which I have 2 off. Not sure what else to check?

Also good news rev counter is working, it starts but doesn't idle is this because of the isv?
    Thanks rj

ok for now, move on. it wont stop the car starting just will affect idle worst case. it may be 4v is correct for older 16v isv module I've not tested one before... but yeah you have a buzzy isv so thats a step in the right direction plus hopefully you've solved the spark issue. now see about getting fuel and then you should be in business :)
