i wanted to have some sort of power strreing on it could not run a hydroulic one as the 4wd is in the way and i wanted to keep a clean engine bay so the electric power steering seems the best option out of the vauxall corsa 03 plate not that hard to mount up

now i wanted to run a peddal box to make it a bit easier for the hydraulic clutch and it would allow me to have bias braking and also gets a bit more crapp out the engine bay but could not find any information on the internet with running power steering and peddal box so i bought a pedal box form someone off here and went from there, and yeah it doesnt fit lol so outcome the angle griner and welder again
    [IMG]

as you can see the master cylinders will not fit as the motor is in the way

    making it fit

    now mounting the throttle peddal

no that was a lot of work to make that fit

as the car was the right way round i thought id fill the spare wheel well back in but not just a straight piece of metal over the top as the axel sticks p very slightly

that stuff underneath catches fire easily lol
    [IMG]

i think i mite get it dipped in the future so cannot be assed to scrape all of it off

i put some more stuff on tomorrow

yes as this was the easiest way to overcome the problem that why i have run a solid engine mount underneathe the vehicle to try and stop the engine from moving and im still running a rubber one on the back an by the looks of it the bearings on the prop shaft are supported on rubber so you can get away with a bit of movement i think we'll see when we get it on the road lol

there is a piece of tube what comes out the seat and attaches onto the rail so i just shortened that tube to the same amount i have lifted the rail up

    awsome...

with the front prop id suggest modifiying it to use a cv joint at either end, as if you just have it like you do any engine tilt will snap/bend the prob end as theres no give...

    thats how mines running...

I really admire people like you with all your fabrication skills. I can stick a bigger engine in a car and get it running but what your doing is just wow!

    Top work

    I'm liking the concept

Any issues or tips for the corsa steering, I have one and spare mk 1 column in the garage waiting for the weather to get better before fitting

nope it has a spacer like the one you have fabricated but due to how my prop sits it was made with 2 cv joints at each end so it could sit a the slight angle it does without braking, been working spot on for months now...

replaced all the wheel bearings and got the wheel hubs back in and i found out the passat wheel bearings fit on the rear and tried the spare wheel on it to see how the rear axle looked in the wheel arch
    [IMG]
    looking good

time to have a go at shortening these drive shafts back two were straight forward to shorten and so the centre prop shaft and the fornt ones were a bit more challenging as i had to have the mk5 joint on the one end and the mk1 on the other so we are having to combine two different types of shafts
    [IMG]

    and the front ones
    [IMG]

    and the centre prop shaft
    [IMG]

and when i thought it was all done i had to also do the rear anti roll bar this we also sleeved aswell
    [IMG]

after doing all that work i was thinking are the outer cv joints going to be strong enough to take the power what do people think is there any upgrades that i could do to fit onto the same splines????????

the rear bolts that hold the rear wishbone arms on you cannot get to the nuts on the outside of the axle because they are to close to the car so i modified the bolts to take up a bit less room
    [IMG]

and you lot are now up to date with where i am lol...
