Just gave it a quick rust-proof till i've got the time to spray it properly (well, as properly as you can get with cans  . Need to strip the engine down now ready to take to RPM. Its still got the supercharger bracket attached - wonder how much thats worth...?

Someone has very kindly offered to help me fit it too - I didn't really fancy pulling the gearbox to pieces, as i'd probably drop something and not know where it went!

Gearbox needs a clean-up first

There's no way the original inlet manifold is gonna be able to be used, so looks like i'm gonna either have to get one made up, or find a crossflow one to modify :?

    Slowly[:^(]

I went down to Kent a couple of weeks ago to RPM and the engine loked like this:

The bottom end has been balanced, pistons are ready to go in and head was being welded as the oil ways didnt match, so it had to be welded and re-drilled to match the block. Also the head had to be drilled to accept 11mm instead of 10mm head bolts, and the crossflow valves are longer than normal 8v ones, so they had a little difficulty finding a supplier. Might have it back in a couple of weeks.

I also got this on the bay a while back, to be fitted during the rebuild:

And while i was in London, I picked this up from a friend, should go well together with the Peloquin;)

I'm busy concreting the side garden at the mo, so i've got somewhere to work on it - learning loads about digging footings and mixing concrete[:s] [:$]

Yep, won't have to be rivisiting the cage again thats for sure. Soo much to do, its hard to decide where to start.

Wonder if there is any info anywhere on the blue one - ex owner used to be on here - scalainj i think his forum name was - would love to find out a little more about the engine spec.
