If you're after a pedal box, you could also try HRP, who sponsor our Chassis section. Have a look in the Group Buy section for more info on theirs - it's column rather than floor mounted.

Been doing bits n bobs, not much interesting, took Tony B's advise and put an extension on the catch can breather, it's now breathing into the front panel cavity.

I did this last week, alloy angle to aid ducting of air through the rad and prevent recirculation, it's bonded to the rad and bolted to the grill with foam trapped in between.

It's still booked in for MOT this Sat, fingers crossed the roads clear up, almost got stuck outside my man cave in my 2K Caddy!

Me and the better half have just been for an hours run it, it was cold and dry but enjoyed driving it again. Rear tyres are catching the arch's so il be removing the stub axle spacers before I can give it any stick!

Bit more done, stub axle spacers removed as the tyres were fouling the arches over large bumps

Wheel alignment at Midland VW early this morning

Rears are at 1.2 degrees so at least I know the rear beam is straight, fronts are set at 2 degrees, il monitor heat and tyre wear and maybe add a bit more camber if needed, tracking was just toe'ed in a touch :)

Hi Dan, I will be at Curby on the 6th in it. Midland VW is an indipendant specialist not a main dealer, the 4 wheel alignment kit was a big investment for a relatively small company but they are the only ones round these parts that do it for reasonable money :)

I did do a slightly better time but am yet to do a sub 30, the diff has made a big difference to the 80% slip kit I originally fitted.

The Federal RSR tyres are wearing well and the additional grip over a good quality road tyre is a step change in performance! They are a bit noisy but that is to be expected from a semi slick, the only moan is they split where the moulding join is, I did have the tyre below replaced free under warranty but they are all showing some signs now after my trip to the ring

Think I'm going to pay the extra for 888's next time

    Hey Tron! Nice pics there.

I have seen Federals split like that along with my own set. However they don't cause an issue and have been used till worn. Seems it's cosmetic.

    Cheers Gurds

I did some googling at the time and did see a lot of people having issues but no failures.

I wonder what an MOT tester would say or the Law if they pulled me over! This was more my concern as I was just about to go to the ring and didnt want to end up in any bother.

I need to catch up on your build! I have heard good things :)
