thats the wrong light for a gti, they have a separate bit for main beam.

as for the filter, mine came with a k&n which was rubbish (ie big hole, 1mm across, its meant to be a filter ffs) so i replaced that with a pipercross. id recommend pipercross or a paper one.

    the chip works well.

not sure id spend a lot of money on wheels, its hardly like you gain anything and 16 inch rubber is not cheap at all lol

what are your plans? (cant remember if youve said this already?) if you want to make a quick fun car, shell out on suspension stuff first

have to have a look for a gti head lamp...shoudln't be to difficult to find...

    mk4 shifter right?????

will get a piper cross induction kit then or filter....prob just the filter tbh.......

    will get the chip....

prob go poly bushes all round first service too..

some people on here have said they got a poly bush 'kit' for about 100 that did everything, do you know where to get this kit as on the website its all individual and would cost a fair wack more than 100 if you bought them all....

speak to rallydesign or one of those bugpack/gsf ones from ebay (prothane)

with those mk2/mk3 kits you need to mod the subframe for the bushes to go in.

    well we bought it!!!

    1800 (wouldn't go any less!)

    Well pleased with it...

basically need to rip the lens protectors off (easy it seems) but needs a new headlamp....but do like the two light lamps... what are they called? hella cesis or something????? are they just bolt on?

bad rust patch on the door sill on the passenger side (does everyone get this?) will get this fixed....how much do peeps think? cut out job i presume?

and small spot of rust on other door under mirror otherwise its bloody spotless bodywise!!!!!! its a minter...

interior is spotless, just small amounts of wear on the plastics...but for 12 yr car....

it managed 35mpg on the way home on the A50 and about 30-32mpg on the twisties with some overtaking and booting! not bad i don't think!

53 to fill it from empty too...not to bad!!!

Will get pics up tomorrow.....but a real minter...

should i rip the mud flaps off too?

    full closure alarm too!!! bargain!

    Rich

yeah rust on the sill is a PITA... Im doing a home repair due to it not being seen that often and it being a track day car, depends how bad it is regards cost for repair from a body shop, 100 - 150 as a rough guess.

MPG sounds healthy which is good too!!! pics pics pics!!
