Was a heavy price but got a better deal on her. i was toying between 1.8t and VR6 lump as they sound awesome... but after the Leon the VR just won't pack enough puch and will weigh as much as a mountain extra. i want the car as a daily driver with the aim of running down the strip at gti inters and a few other events so i decided the 1.8t was the better option... as for abs... i hadn't though about it but its prob a good idea tbh lmao. i do have some R32 brakes but i dont think the standard master/servo are up to it so i will prob fit the gti items and bang some porsche 4 pots on (keeping in the theme of it) lol
Black wheels look nice on red!! From this thread http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk113/Benny
hmmmmm.... maybe not polished looking at this one?? [IMG]http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk290/vee_dub_modder/img_1537s2fh.jpg
They are so sexy looking rims!!! Lamin-x them dude! I've gone through about 3-4 sets of lights trying to alter and paint them. I'll be definately going to the ring this year too, and most definately the coombe!!
Mine at the moment Plans are just performance now GT1749va turbo means a change to vnt control fmic, not that stands out too much VR6 clutch and g60 flywheel PP764 nozzles 2.5" exhaust from turbo back and more which i cant remember
mk3 se diesel only bought this recently it was loaded on a trailer and going to scrap, its done 219,000 miles, plans at moment are to fix the driveshaft bolts that sheared off on wednesday evening! find and repair oil leaks, fix exhaust thats knocking on rear beam, have camber and wheel alignment sorted, and a full service, then look at getting paintwork tidied up and replace some parts that arent ageing very well..... looks better in pic than in reality.
Hi all im a new user to this forum, just lookin through this thread and theres some awesome lookin mk3s on here so thought id pop a couple up of my highline let me know wot u think Have actualy got this up for sale at the min but after a nice blast round in her tonight ive had a change of mind lol big grins every time will put a post in members ride section with full specs soon.
My GTI Anniversary 8v purchased In Jan 2009 Planes for 2010 Was going to sell it to buy a mk2 GTI but cant bring myself to part with it after we have been though Getting the alloys refurbished with nice chrome outer rim sorting rust/scratches Showing it at Stoner Park GTI International this year Comments welcome pics of it atm Back in September 2009
cheers it was up for sale she is a bit thirsty but i couldn't bring myself to sell her yours looks like a bit of a beast?
heres mine, want to get new alloys this year, so either goning to sell up or do a engine conversion toying between a vr6 or a 1.8 20vt has any one got any surgestions on what wheels?? like the polish tt wheels but think that its too common now cheers
it was like that wen i bought the car, give the air filter a bit more air tho, was thinkin of getting some audi tt wheel but think to many people have gone down that route cheers
Looks can be decieving... just got her... she's a 1.4 at the moment... though not for very long... i refuse to drive less than 200bhp!!! lol. going to be a 2.8 vr6 for a while then mayve a 3.2 R32?? we'll see. VR lump in there before GTi inters anyways.
yes i was thinking down that road but i got some old skool BBS rims off the early VR6 just got to spray them up and get tyres iv had them 7months
Vr6 conversion is relatively cheap though the potential is lacking... 1.8t is more expensive initally but better in the long run -- i've be thinnking abou this alot lol. Though those rims have to go!! - get some schmidt modern lines
sounds good i will be trekking up to inter so will have a look im also going up to stoner park I don't know why people hate mk3's they are lush!!
cheers not sure yet like you say the vr is the cheaper way, mite even sell the car yet an just buy a vr, still not sure on wheels yet either
