My Mk3 GL TDI. 90bhp AHU engine. I call it `Project Red Diesel`.

Just the daily hack, but it`s bound to have some work done on it... ;) [:[]

Looking at EGR removal, 110 injector nozzles, and straight through exhaust as a start.

Schmidt TH Lines or some modern lines;) thats where i'd go anyways if your after looks... cant beat a bit of dish on a mk3 [:D] or set of oz's for reasonable unsprung weight improvements! (prob the route i'll go) are you planning to do much to her or keep fairly standard???

    thlines

    SEXY modern lines

    OZ super leggra's (12valver's motor) <-- yummy

I'm still looking for a VR6 at the min... hope to pick one up for the end of the month and start my build... mostly going to be a daily driver but there is no way i want to be rolling round in a standard mk3... esp not at 170bhp... throttle bodies on the way, exhaust, coilys and composite pannels... shame i dont have the car.

Will start out with some shell prep (flare rear arches, lighten and then a blow over) then on to some TLC for the lump followed by a tune up etc etc etc. driving round in a 230bhp leon at the min (FOR SALE) and wont settle for less than a 250 VR (may be dreaming at that without a blower) we'll see. worst situation i'll bag a 1.8t/2.0t in it instead. got about 4-5k to play with so we'll see what i'm running by GTI INTERS 2010 :p

i'm aiming for somthing like 12valver's motor... a tall order but i think its the perfect mk3!... but i want a vento front! lol

STUMC -- thats a good looking motor there... have you concidered a 150pb enging?? ;) that would be sweet. top job so far... have you got a thread on the mk1/2???

Ive heard 17" wheels make them feel and handle like crap ?? its my daily car so I couldnt live with that. Love the thlines , nice......not cheap id imagine . Its only an 8v agg, only mods at the mo are a chip and modded airbox, oh and the laminx'ed front end.

i dont know about the 17" making it handle crap??? i'd personally go for a set of modern lines, 7.5x16 on the front and 9x16 on the rear... would look hard as nails! i think thats the route i'll go or some leggys like 12valvers motor.... choices choices. OZ's are cheaper mind.

splitty th lines are uber expensive!!! just looked!!!!!

i'm stuck on paint choice now... i have some VW black magic but i was thinkin of some sort of gun metal met grey?? any ideas anyone??

    Re-mapped 130 would be ideal I reckon... ;)

    Cheers!

Neither the Mk1 or Mk2 are finished, but WIP threads here, here, and here.

Talking of Nimbus Grey, I was playing around of Photoshop last week, and came up with this... [:D] ;)

It does! Can`t be shelling out for a re-spray though... [:^(]

And I`ve been `shopping for ages, you goon. Even one the comp one month... ;)

It wasn`t strictly P`shop, but rather an app on my iPhone called Coloursplash.
