I know you have opinions but when you post replies that add fuel to a fire to continue a heated debate then that is NOT the role of admin.

maybe if we had used Jubilee clips this would not have happened [:s]

none of us have "added" to any fire, just raising questions on the topic.

i disagree,as do many others and so would vw.

how tight should you go with a jubilee to find the safe level between being under tightened,so as the pipe may pop off,or over tightened to crush the (non re enforced) plastic pipe.

surely you can understand what people have already said, about other monkeys working on the car,and the fact that this is NOT a correct and propper way to connect these fuel lines?

So removing the ferrule with the workmanship of a six year old using a blunt pair of round ended plastic scissors is acceptable for a conversion running into thousands of pounds?

For 10 minutes extra work and a few quid for decent fittings it's a wonder why ANY engine conversion company would bother f**king around with jubilee clips. Looks bad workmanship on their behalf. Bet no-one would complain if they put an extra tenner on the cost of the conversion to do it right in the first place.

Things like this arent the best form of advertising for them!

    apologies

why cant he have a say, its hardly an offensive opinion, maybe hint of pss taking but you kind of asked for it:lol:hes role as a mod is mainly to keep scum like me from posting opsceneties and winding people up:lol:

as for rich's car, i cant recall him saying that hed hed his fuell lines upgraded to stage 4 jubille clip mode, so from what i gather its DD's fault- i could be wrong however and apologise if this is the case

If you pay for an installation, personally I'd be expecting at least a factory finish or better. Using proper clips and connections should come as standard.

Just the other day I found a loose jubilee clip on a boost hose which I was sure had been tight. I also used a jubilee clip as a temporary measure for a vacuum hose. It didn't hold it as well as I'd hoped and was soon replaced with the proper clip. I just wouldn't trust a jubilee clip on something critical as a fuel line.
