i think he probably hit me at about 50+, aaah that explains my fecked neck then.... [8(]
He ended up in the side/back of a lorry with the end of that metal pole that runs along the back of a lorry impaled throgh the passenger window about 6 inches from his mates girlfriends face...

I am well pleased with the new one, shiny shiny shiny. [:D]

Take it to Poland and fix it up there, it will cost you about 2000 euros

The roof's twisted....it's F*cked! Even if it was repaired it would never look or drive right.

Damn shame, but glad to hear you got a new one.

I think you should be able to get the bloke's name and address from the court records...if you haven't got it already. Just in case the legal process doesn't run as it should, or he wants to pay his damages at 5 a month.

How do you find them though...the new one looks EVEN BETTER than the old one

Yeah, the new one is better, about as good as they ever come.

    How do i find them?
    - The wrecked 17,000 mile one was luck, in a small local garage ;)
    - The new spankin one? easy to find anything if you are willing to pay top dollar.....[:[]

Had a letter from the solicitors yesterday, the 'other side' have admitted responsibility and have recommended i go and see a physio to get me neck sorted. Surely a matter of days now before i get my money off them.....

All I can say is thank god for VDUB build quality! Looks like the car itself held together well considering the impacts!

Finally, 8 months later i have had an offer from the guilty drivers insurance.

First offered 1500, i naturally told em where to stick it and referred to all the good things about my car before the BMW got hold of it.

Got an offer for 2500 (agreed value with my insurers 3000) and i can keep the car for salvage.

Would i be cheeky to push them further towards the 3000 considering the condition and also the effort it'll take me to break the car to get some money back, or should i just take the offer.

Please give me some advice if you have any. Thanks. :)

sounds liek a good offer, but what did your replacement car cost, as its a similar if not the same spec, cant you not tell them how much the replacement was ?

If it was an agreed value of 3000, dont the insurance com. have to pay out 3000??

check with your solicitors I'd say. what happens if you refuse the 2500? surely the other party can't just walk away, or could they. would they just protest that 2500 is all you're liable to, and then go for that on the value the 2nd time around.

then again, after 8months, why not just take the 2500 and sell on the parts from your one, i'm sure you could get close to 500 if not more for all the engine parts/interior, or just re-use them youself.

    Less excess I`m guessing.

I`d take it mate. Last year my insurance offered me 900 cos they said that`s how much I could get one for from Autotrader! Obviously I told them to stick it like you did. Within ten minutes they called back and offered 2000! I then tried to squeeze a bit more out of them but they started stalling so I agreed to it just to get it over with. It seems they try to fob you off with any old figure, but if you refuse they give the right value![:s] But push too hard and they might f*ck you off![8(]

Did you get paid out for personal injuries too?
