    Bit of an update

after looking all over this car it is the cleanest mk2 i have ever seen that has been used every day

Spent the last few days cleaning, removing grim, geese, re fitting interior panels and trim,
sorting out what works what dose not.

Getting the radio wiring re done tomorrow as the current weirs have be butchered [xx(] looks like for amps and base box speakers that are to heavy for the doors so the cards had to come out again as they are beyond repair [:^(] so i stuck my 89 door cards in as they fit like a glove  and are clean and never been on car

Started with the boot took everything out and with a good clean polish and wax
    [IMG]

steam cleaned the doors and door shuts re greased, this was a pig and took me 3hr to do the 2 doors [xx(]

that it for the moment will update when my camera has re charged

More cleaning today went a bit over the top and did some very questionable cleaning

Shoe polished the carpets to give them there nice black look went mad and did the mats to,

Spent about 20mins cleaning the passengers seat ready for it to go back in the car it was not coming clean so in the end i showed it to the jet was [:$]
luckily in my moment of madness it was very very hot day so it dryed off in no time at all

Gave the interior a good clean with some mer vinyl stuff and left it to sock into the dash for a good hour before polishing it up, Then i put my BBS vinyls on which i found of eBay they look a bit more red than the originals would have but i think they look good

Here are the pics Comments as always

New Rad fitted fan back together looks nice and new
    [IMG]

The jet washed seat all dry read to go back in the car

I agree with R.J Sam

Leave it as it is. Looks lovely btw.

I really miss my K-jet 8v. I should of kept the engine when the car was written off, but was young then and didn't bother. Regret it now though.

It started as a 1.3c shell, and i put the 1.8 kjet in from a previous breg 8v i owned.

Im pretty sure these engine are quicker compared to the digi. Not much in it but i think they are.

Old door mirrors previous owner didn't even bother to take the glass out when he sprayed them up

I do like the Alloys [:$]

Yeah they work well on that golf but few things make it look odd

    A: the doors are wrong

B: the car has side trim so it goes with the bumpers i don't think my car looks nice with black bumpers

C: if i did make my bumpers black it would be like very other mk2

I don't know what to do maby ill take some pics today and ask wez to shop them for me

Seen this on ebay and thought of your car. It's a white mk2 but with black bumpers - ebay 170504884752. My grandfather back in the day had a couple of white mk2's with the bbs kit fitted and they really stand out from the crowd - great looking car mate, keep the updates coming. I'll try and get some photos for you.
