Keep the kit white Sam  Like you said, its different from the rest.

The black mirors go well, but imo i'd leave the bumpers ect white

Noooooooooooo! they look all kinds of wrong as they didn't come out until way into the nineties, even if they were eighties they still look wrong [:v:]

OEM rear lights are more 80's IMO

Refitting the rear wiper with it parking upright would be a good retro touch too;)

Finally I'd retire the number plates and get some pressed metal plain replacements. Smarter and more retro:thumbup:

Dan you do not have a leg to stand on Mr B Reg Big Bumpers [xx(] and the only thing 80's on your car is the quarter light glass..

the standard lights look all wrong on a GTI

And iv had comments all day about how much better they look from the standard ones [:^:]

dont think the new lights are to bad just think they make a big impact against the white compared to the old ones. still looks a minter though!

Been a while since i updated

Not been doing to much just enjoying having a mk2 as a daily  Finally got around to getting some new tyres for the old girl, aAs this wet weather i have been skating around the back lanes [:s]
Got myself some Pirelli P6000 tyres  they cost about 45 each which is well over half what i would spent on the old anniversary tyres, so a gave it a full clean today wash wax ect.

    Really make a big difference

    Noooooo - not dirty P6000's! [:^(]

Looking good aside from them though; as Toopay says it's the little things that make it.

Still undecided on the rear lights; although they do certainly clean the car up nicely by getting rid of the red.

Keep up the good work
