Oli Which dewalt 18v one are you refering to, cos they do 3, one cosiderably more power than the others.

The DW059 is what i'll be getting, as i've got a dewalt drill with two 2.6amp batteries so will be getting body only tools now.

From what I've read 18v is really the minimum for wheel nuts. My Sealey 24v one (125 ish off Ebay) does them fine, although it can start to struggle if the battery is half used.

its not cordless, but i recommend that clarke 12v from machine mart. it takes off wheel nuts that are torqued to 120nm in one hit

if it cant get it off, typically itll shear it :p

so far it has only been stopped by a couple hub nuts on a mk2 and some carrier bolts, but they were both on the ges so prolly welded in place

I don't think people like our ghetto impact wrenches, Matt. [:^(]

I had a scare the other day when it was working one second then no life in it the next... Turns out it just blew fuse #23 in my car though. [:$]

i wire it straight to a battery, it has even more 'powah' if the engine is running too, but most of the cars we end up working on are miles from being able to run lol

the ghetto wrench is kick ass and unbeatable if you do not have access to a compressor or even electricity (like we dont where we work on cars)

prolly one of the best 20s ive spent on tools, ever

I got a 18v DeWalt one on eBay last year with a spare battery and a plastic carry case. Wot a great bit of kit, worth every penny!! ALthough I agree with Oli that the pin on the drive is a right royal pain in the @ss! I think I still have the paperwork in the box so will take a look where I got it from and post the info if you want?

Kind of worrying if they can't tell the difference - I hope it was cheap!

I found it recommended on a Landrover forum somewhere, a couple of people gave it the thumbs up. I believe there are a few rebadged versions of the Clarke one, this being one of them. I don't know which is the original though!!

I tried the sealey one today,

It didnt undo hubnuts and it didnt really do wheel bolts that were done tight.

But it did save me ahout a hour overall so cant be that bad

Mine does normally, although sometimes it struggles ... depends how long they've been on, and how tight they were done, I guess.

I've done Hub nuts, wheel nuts, clutch pressure plate bolts...

It looks identical except for the colour to my Rolson one, the link is above. I have used it helping my mate get the engine out of his Alfa 33, and it seems pretty good. Undoes my wheelnuts ok, haven't tried testing stuff tightened with a torque wrench to see what it can do though.
